I personally love the idea that Elko and Lea employed in which they sign a bunch of long, quick and athletic linebackers and let their bodies and makeup decide where they’ll see the field. I love the idea of Jack Lamb having that 6’4” frame and speed and deciding they like him as a hard hitter and run stopper so they put him at Mike or they like his speed and range so they put him at Buck. I’m not too sure on those football specifics but I love having those fast and rangy linebackers who can blossom into big time linebackers. I mean last class they brought in 6’4”, 6’3”, 6’3”, and 6’3”. That’s a lot of height and length. That’s why I think Ekwonu and Henrich fit the mold so well. Henrich (6’4”), Turner (6’4”), Lytle (6’3”), Ekwonu (6’2”), Heimuli (6’2”), Sinclair (6’2”), Kiser (6’2”), Gbenda (6’0”). Their top target list is loaded with tall and rangy guys.

His film shows him in the pass rush and from what I saw he looks natural doing so. It really depends on what this class looks like come NSD. If they can get the guys they want at drop then maybe he stays at mike. Either way the kid can play.

Henrich just took an OV to Wisconsin and got a Nebraska CB Sunday night. He has an unofficial to Nebraska today. Hopefully ND is able to get a visit before the dead period starts after this week.
