Posting a day early as I am heading to South Bend tomorrow for a funeral and will be indisposed until Saturday afternoon.
For some reason, I've always really enjoyed this game on ND's schedule. ND has won the last 3 meetings dating back to 2017, including the 55-0 shellacking in 2021. GT is much better this season than those 2020-2021 teams on our memories.
We'll see if Haynes King is able to suit up for the Yellow Jackets, as he's listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury and Brent Key said he is "day to day." Sounds like a bit of potential gamesmanship on GT's part. Either way, this is definitely the stingiest defense the Jackets have played all season, even with the loss of Morrison. Look for them to target Leonard Moore early and often, hopefully he can have another terrific day like he did against Louisville.
It appears Leonard has found his rhythm in the RPO game, which was on fire last weekend, particularly in the red zone. Look for more of the same to keep the GT defense off balance early and often. If Leonard is hitting those accurate passes, it's going to be a nightmare for defensive coordinators to keep track of the RBs, Leonard's legs, the TEs and the WRs in the RPO game.
Go Irish, beat Yellow Jackets!
