We used to go there all the time. Drove through Ft Myers Beach last year. Was shocked to see so many vacant lots where houses and businesses use to be. Looked like most everything being built on the beach side was very high-end houses squeezing out the little guy.

Update: winds are finally starting to die down. By the grace of God, I still somehow have power 3 miles northwest of downtown Tampa. Had 90+ MPH wind gusts for the past two hours. Mentally taxing. And still I got lucky as others have to deal with storm surge. Waiting for winds to get down below 40 MPH before I can finally sleep somewhat easy.

Geez that's crazy. If a squirrel farts I lose power for 3 days. I can't imagine 90+ MPH winds.

How big are the fuckin squirrels in your area?

They fucked something up when they put in our section of the development and we lose power all the time. According to the neighbors I guess back in the day it was even worse.

Have the squirrels baptized so you can plan accordingly. That way, they only come around on Easter and Christmas

Yep. Still have power. Never lost it through the storm. AC blew a fuse though from powering on/off so much with all the power flickering. Must have flickered 20-30 times but kept coming back.
