It’s not quite in the region, but if you drive down to Winamac, One Eyed Jack’s has a really good BPT, too.

Nick’s Kitchen in Huntington, IN (near Fort Wayne) is said to have been the origin of the BPT. The Edinburgh Diner down south of Indy near Columbus has maybe the largest BPT in the world. Just depends how you like your BPT. Some like it thin, while others (like myself) prefer a BPT with some girth…
Had one at nicks yesterday...still probably one of the best I've had from anywhere

There may be, but I haven't found a better reason to go elsewhere.

Italian Connection >>> Salvatori's

It's a cramped old house turned into a restaurant, and the food is definitely a notch above Salvatori's. The major difference is the authentic Italian family feel -- and the owner treats everyone like family. Stay until later in the evening and he'll serenade the entire place with his concertina accordian, and invite people to the front of the downstairs to sing the national anthem with him. Absolutely worth the experience, and the best Italian in Fort Wayne, to boot.

Question for the Hoosiers on IE, where’s the best Breaded Pork Tenderloin sandwich? Are there any good spots in the Region or Michiana? I’m living in Chicago presently
The tenderloin is one of my favorite sandwiches. I've never found one that stands head and shoulders over the rest of them. You should be okay wherever you get it from.

He prepares all the ranch containers for my to go orders
He was originally bagging carry outs but he was having a hard time deciding which big bags to use for take home and wether to separate bags for parents and uncles and to just put everything in one big bag ....

So they moved him to ranch

As a fat mid-western white guy with zero concept of flavor, I could argue that its the most important job at the restaurant

Hope they are taking care of him. I heard Taco Bell needs a Drive Thru guy and they just lost their top guy to McDonalds so they have the NIL space to pay out… and I heard his Uncle was offered a job refilling the Baja Blast there.

Hope its not the Taco Bell on Grape Road. Been getting 5 star service every time.

My sources indicate that DM has been doing a great job but his uncle sucks, they are just keeping his uncle employed to keep Moore happy
Well… refilling that Baja Blast is almost just as important as the ranch guy at Hacienda… almost.

As a Fort Wayne resident, I just dream about Hacienda ranch every time I'm eating a tortilla chip. Luckily my in-laws are in the South Bend area, so I get to treat myself every now and then.
Feels good to know I'm not alone in this world.

Next time you are up that way, just pack a little cooler and buy yourself a quart to take home.

I moved to New Mexico for 10 years and tried to introduce the natives of the land of Salsa to ranch. They loved it and those that didn’t are liars… I couldn’t get any restaurants to start using ranch but I did get one to start using a white “creamy dip” they refused to call Ranch but I’m sure it is.
