Not really sure. I only look at them to see their in house rating when making profiles. Could it be Fong making changes?

It's no secret, I've been preaching APR for 10 years.
So I just looked it up: all they do is take the average number of commits per team and use those best ones, so if the number is 15, they'll use that to get the recruit ranking average for their rating and ignore the bottom of the class.

I know Lane seems to be the buzz word but Dan Lanning is the #1 HC prospect in CFB... in a vacuum.

From 'dream school' to no visit to forgetting to put us in his Top 6 is why he never got a profile.

Sorry, I should've been clear. What does "In a vacuum" mean?

Means if separated from all other external factors. He'd be the #1 HC prospect if his buyout didn't stop him from being a reasonable choice or if all schools were willing to match/exceed Oregon money, factors like that.

I'm sure this is in one of the individual profiles but I'll put it here to cover all 3.

Worth noting that Flanigan is the only guy on the list (and I’m pretty sure among the honorable mentions) with a 60’+ shot put. And he’s 1 of 2 with a 180’+ discus throw (along with 5⭐️ Iose Epenesa)

Looking at who might be next to target - feels like an obvious one:

He’s not Meadows or Hines as far as upside, but we need a few quality bodies at this point while we try to flip a higher ceiling guy.

Get him and Jonanthony Hall and then focus on flipping a higher end guy during the season.

Does anyone have an On3 subscription to see who they recommend targeting for 2025 WR room?

Cooper Perry (Oregon), Michael Thomas III (Rutgers), Micah Matthews (VT), Terry Shelton (Arizona), and Terrence Smith (uncommitted).

Also has a few honorable mentions, including Blair’s HS teammate, Shamarius Peterkin.

Thanks... So sounds like we'll have to be doing some flippin', which is what schools need to be able to do to be in that top 3-5 echelon of CFB teams.

So since it appears that CFB will go from 85 to 105 scholarship players, the staff should probably offer Andrew Babalola, right? 5* OL who truly care about academics (appears to be trending to Stanford) don’t grow on trees.

Matthews is good. Very good baseball prospect though, that may hinder the recruitment. He reminds me a bit of Jayden Thomas but with a bit more burst on his film than Thomas had on his in HS.

Smith doesn’t look all that athletic or strong on film. Likely going to Iowa at this point.

I think there’s a good chance the three guys committed are better prospects, not sure if Babalola is interested in playing 4th fiddle

From what I’ve read, Babalola cares about academics the most. He still needs to get stronger, but his upside is really high. If he comes here he probably won’t transfer until he has his degree, and if he does transfer it would probably be to another school with good academics.

If this happens ND needs to work something out where they can bring in undergrads or Jucos I don’t see how they ever get to 105

You don’t need 105 scholarship players to function. Going into a season with 85, about 20 don’t see the field.

Now, it will be better in the sense that ND won’t have to “process” guys, but if they’re too injured to play and/or simply not good enough then it’s also a moot point.

You’ll see 40 player frosh classes where half transfer
