Saiid Paulson Adebo decommitting from ND when he was admitted to Stanford, Solomon Thomas never giving ND a sniff...Kelly was 5-6 against Stanford but won 4 of his last 5. Freeman dropped his first one, won the second.
The only guy I can ever recall Stanford getting that I really liked was James Vaughters and he was a linebacker from Georgia as I recall. I think the rest were OL, and in that regard, ND did quite well during the time Stanford had their run under Harbaugh and Shaw when BK was at ND.
Sure. Completely forgot.Saiid Paulson Adebo decommitting from ND when he was admitted to Stanford, Solomon Thomas never giving ND a sniff...
I'm not sure how I forgot about this one. I'm guessing moderate health issues were caused by an Indiana kid signing with Stanford. If I remember correctly, Blake Lueders was wanted. Indiana kid, DE or LB, massive neck.

For BK's first 6 years, Stanford was a legit top 10 team. There were 2 Andrew Luck seasons to start, and several Rose Bowl appearances. After 2015 was when the Trees really started to fall off and it just so happens that was roughly when BK reinvented the program. 2016 was stolen from them and the team just laid an absolute egg in '17. Let's not forget that ND wasn't able to play Stanford in 2020 due to COVID, and there's not a doubt in my mind that the Irish would have crushed the Stanford soul on that field had they played.I had to go back and look because I couldn't believe BK struggled so much with Stanford, even though they were good for a bit there. I guess my brain was trying to forget some of those losses. Turns out it was even worse than this. BK was technically just 4-6 against Stanford because the '12 win got vacated (Fuck you, NCAA. Pedo State gets theirs back and not us for some academic bullshit?). BK also won just 3 of his last 5 which was his best stretch of games...because Stanford basically sucked at that point.
Damn BK finished with a losing record to both Stanford and Michigan. Sad.
