English Premier League officiating is...interesting. Doesn't seem that anyone is really immune, but a couple of teams seem to be involved more often than others. Forest, Burnley, Wolves.

I enjoyed Liverpool's Japanese fella and DeBruyne's hair.

Nunez was offsides 132 times in the first half and City's big viking lad was a complete non factor. Diaz couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a banjo. Foden should do a DeBruyne and grow the Grealish hair, because you ain't getting those calves.

City's goal was soft off of a corner and Liverpool's was a pen. This was somehow still one of the better matches you'll see, however. I would have liked to have seen goofy Nunez or the Viking score one.

All I could keep thinking to myself, for whatever reason, is "Gareth Southgate still won't win England anything."
I wish I knew what KDB was fussing at Pep about. I can’t imagine it was all about being subbed off. He looked totally frustrated.

Bleacher Report.

At least seven more points Liverpool should have at this point.

They have seven draws.

Chelsea away
Brighton away
Luton away
City away

Man United at home
Arsenal at home
City at home

For the sake of argument, you have six points from getting a goal in those three home matches and another two if you score against....Luton.

One win against a top six side, and that's Villa at home. They needed to do better in those three home matches against those sides, including a Man United team right before Christmas that was absolutely terrible.

I don’t disagree mostly but I mean most teams are not gonna play perfect football every game week in week out. These last few seasons with 90-100 points winning the league is only a recent blip between MC and Liverpool. High 80 points would have won you the league routinely. 6-10 draws and an occasional couple of losses is what should be expected. But these three were just flat out referees bottle jobs.

How about they get their shit together and make it not a problem.
Worst case scenario for UEFA is Liverpool vs Rangers in Dublin for the final. It's actually not funny considering what a complete shit show the last two Champions League finals were. Liverpool, Real, Inter and City supporters all talked about what a complete mess it was after the fact in both instances. Paris police tear gassing little kids two years ago and elderly City supporters last year having to walk up the road to the stadium due to a lack of shuttles. No drinking water, bathrooms, etc.

Ridiculous.

I doubt the veracity of the allegations considering we all know there is no such thing as a City supporter.

Liverpool fans playing all the hits today. Refs screwed us, City’s not a real club, just waiting for someone to break out “net spend” and all will be right in the world.
City isn't real. It's Oregon of the late 00's but with more money somehow lol

Nah. Maybe more like the Miami teams of the 80’s. City actually wins trophies and a lot of them.

Liverpool is Michigan. Fans always blame the ref, an entitled sense of self worth, and a recent title after a long drought. If you play that obnoxious Liverpool song backwards, you’ll hear Hail to the Victors.

As a United fan (it's painful), I can definitely think of a CFB team people either love or love to hate. A team that was really good for a really long time that, when they aren't good, people love to see them lose, yet still remain relevant even when they aren't good... lol

I agree with that for United. For Liverpool, I'd say the packers, ya know, really good, won't overpay, occasionally (rarely) wins something lol...

I thought we were assigning college programs. My bad.

I'm going to enjoy Bayern Munich finally falling off the wall like Humpty Dumpty. I don't think that happens for City this year.

It appears that the next trend is going to be Red Bull groups until UEFA somehow curtails that. Very important to stay ahead of the curve. Ask Newcastle about timing.

Is Bayern going to fall off the wall? I don't track the bundesliga as close anymore.

Stacked Champions League quarterfinals
City
Real Madrid
Dortmund
Bayern
PSG
Arsenal
Barcelona
Atletico Madrid

A shame Inter didn't win today. I would have liked to see a representative from Serie A.

No, with the right manager Bayern will be right back to the top of the Bundesliga.
Most likely, yes, but their streak of 11 straight titles is likely coming to an end soon. They're currently ten points back of Leverkusen. Enter all the king's horses and all the king's men.

It is sounding more and more like Alonso is all but headed to Liverpool, or at the very least isn't headed to Bayern Munich. If they had legit interest in Alonso, the way they've gone about it to this point has not endeared them to Alonso or his agent.

Alonso is the top manager out there right now on everyone's list, and probably should be, regardless of the clubs he used to play for. I still really like Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP and Sebastian Hoeness from Stuttgart. I don't know if Bayern go for them, though. Other than Alonso I keep seeing names like Zidane, Mourinho, Flick attached to Bayern.

As for Champions League, I want to see City and Arsenal play sooner than later. Considering they're in the midst of a three way title race, they may as well meet in this affair as well. City and Liverpool in the FA Cup would give us one last Klopp v Pep match, too.

Simeone made Inter look totally ordinary yesterday. Probably the worst they've played all season. Martinez's PK is probably somewhere near Venus about now. Madon. Awful.
