"Alt's an athlete. He's arguably the best pass blocker and arguably the best run blocker in the class. If offensive linemen had a crest, the central figure's silhouette would be modeled after Alt's. He's about as perfect of a tackle prospect as you can find."

Can't remember who wrote it, but some knucklehead said he wasn't powerful enough or have strong hands. Said he's more of a finesse guy.

Did you have him as fourth string LT to start the fall as well (vs FSU 2021)? lol

When people say "you're not at practice" or "Coaches play the best players". They are human, coaches make mistakes. I would bet a lot of money Fisher got first shot at LT due to his very high ranking.

Alt has the potential to not only be a HOFer but one of the greats. The kid just turned 21. A week ago! He's going to get MAN strength in time. (Of course, he already has ridiculous strength.... Aaron Banks was considered a bust after year one in the NFL and now he is considered a great pick by most people who follow his development out here in SF.... Banks is only 24 years old- Year three in the NFL... Young !) Whoever was the knucklehead head Irish1#1 mentioned didn't take that in consideration in Alt's evaluation.

One could argue that at tackle, being able to move a guy with leverage is more important than brute strength.

There is one thing about Alt and it's an easy fix: At 6 foot 8, 321 comes in on the lighter side, but he's only 21 and can weightroom himself to 330-340 without losing the agility.

He's going to face some serious pass rushers now because it's the NFL, but at this point, without bias I'd say he should be the first OT taken in the draft because as good as Fashanu is, Alt is better.

does anybody think he gets drafted in the top 5 or more down the 9 or 10 range.

Highly unlikely to be top 5 just because of the number of QBs that should go high. Some NFL people think someone trades up to 4 for the fourth QB actually.

Huh? I understood all of those words, but not the way you ordered them.

By all accounts Fisher also ate Foskey in spring camp.

He should be the first OT taken, but that won't be in the top 5. Then again, someone could pull off something unexpected and maybe take another OT before him, so who knows.

It should be a safe bet, but you never know what these GMs are thinking and wind up doing in the end.

Alt should absolutely be taken in the top 5. I genuinely think he has the best odds out of all draftable players to be an All Pro and HoF inductee.

He probably won’t go in the top 5 because the teams drafting in the top 5-10 are always doing so because they continue to make poor decisions.

Jayden Daniels is the top 5, let alone the first round, is laughable.

Most mocks I've read have him going at 7 or 8.

Do you know who the Chiefs starting LT and RT are? If you do, do you also know they were average at best this year?

HA. There's a reason QBs are so highly sought after over every other position and why alt might be the most sure thing in the draft, he's not going top 5.

QBs win super bowls

Yes, of course. But wasting top picks on QBs who stink set teams back

Great offensive coaches win sb’s, lately. Chiefs wr’s suck too.

You have to try if you want to win a superbowl, but yes you risk making a bad decision see the bears taking Trubisky with 2nd pick same year as Mahomes.
The vast majority of QBs never pan out to be capable of leading their team to a SB title. The trick is to get lucky like the Pats with Brady, the Chiefs with Mahomes, Green Bay with Farve or the 49'ers with Joe.

I've seen most predicting he will either go to the Chargers at 5 or the Titans at 7. Trades could definitely impact where he'll be taken, but if the Chargers are still in the #5 spot when the draft starts, I think there's a strong chance they take Alt since they don't need a QB and they need to shore up their OL to run the ball more and protect Herbert.

Seems like a lot of Charger fans want Nabers at 5
