Hutch passed away

I have fond memories of watching that show with my dad. I must have been about 5 or 6. 'Dad, their car is cool. I like the red with a white stripe.'

Then watching Salems Lot and being terrified and him saving the day.

RIP David.

Had a pop hit too so he was a decent enough singer.

Franz Beckenbauer has died. Many may not realize this, but Franz was one of the very first athletes to have a signature shoe named for him. The Adidas Beckenbauer cleats that turned into an entire line of shoes and apparel. Won World Cups as a player and coach. Legend

It was announced yesterday that actor William O'Connell, frequently cast in Clint Eastwood movies, passed away last month at the age of 94. He was a great character actor with a long career. He appeared as a blue-skinned alien on the original Star Trek, but is probably best known for playing the nervous barber in High Plains Drifter and as one of the Black Widow biker gang members in Every Which Way But Loose.

Father Time always wins.

I realize we're mortal, but seeing all of these people pass at astounding rate is really starting to hit home.

Mr. John Chuma passed away yesterday. He was a local baseball coaching legend. He helped so many young men (and women) with the game. He coached Little League, Teener League, Legion, high school, softball, ran the halftime club for high school football, was an Elk.... Just an all time great community man. He was always game to talk sports, especially baseball. You could have an hour conversation with him and it felt like 10 minutes. I was so very fortunate to know him, and learn from him. Many in our area feel the same way.

RIP Mr. Chuma

Toby Keith, RIP
Damn, I just saw him in an interview and while he was visibly underweight he was confident in his outlook. Must’ve been a peace with everything and just remained confident. Would’ve liked to share a beer w/ that dude. IIRC, he said when he finally earned enough money, he could write & record the songs he wanted to do vs what the record company wanted. You could tell it freed him up artistically and he seemed to be more successful as well despite not concerned w/ success.
