Elijah Burress, Plaxico's son, is probably a name to know this cycle. Unranked but starting to blow up a bit. He will be on campus for Junior Day

Reading Loy’s coaches on the road this morning and it seems like we are targeting an unusually high amount of three stars?

The winter period is largely an evaluation window to extend such offers as much as it is checking in. Introductions, getting their foot in the door etc. The elite prospects already have their offers so one day of visiting some 3 stars isn’t a big deal. Especially when you look at the visitor list this weekend:

Damien Shanklin (162)
Daylan McCutcheon (88)
Jack Lange (189)
Owen Strebig (125)
Dallas Golden (101)
Mark Zackery (168)
Devin Williams (91)
Nathanial Owusu Boateng (53)

Is there a Junior Day visit list somewhere? Seems like it's gonna be a pretty good weekend.

All the commits besides Kia and James Flanigan,
Damien Shanklin
Daylan McCutcheon
Jack Lange
Owen Strebig
Dallas Golden
Mark Zackery
Devin Williams
Nathanial Owusu Boateng
Matty Augustine
Elijah Burress
Jerome Bettis JR
Corey Costner
Cam Herron
Shaun Terry

'26 5 star QB Brady Smeigel.

Pretty loaded list. Gotta think the O/U for commits in the week or two following this weekend is around 3.5

Over.

Dame Shanklin, Golden, Strebig, JBJ. I’ll throw money on Zackery too.

UGA is taking all of Bama's best players and recruits it seems

Yep. Its going to be fin watching them win 8 of the next 10 nattys. I stand by my post from a few months ago that Kirby smart and what he did in the early Saban years at Bama is what kickstarted that Dynasty until the point where it recruited itself due to the success.

The staffs ability to get guys to come to campus so frequently is quite impressive. Maybe I’m just not remembering as well from CBK, but it seems like we are able to get guys to come to campus like 4-5 times outside of official visits. Feels like this could be a really great weekend

What's the consensus with JBJ? Does he have the green light to commit? He doesn't strike me as a high P5 caliber, unfortunately.

Agree, not really too big a fan

Its actually kind of amusing that he hasn't committed yet if he does have the green light. We look to be by far his best option

That would leave me to believe he may not have a commitable offer

If he leaves this weekend without committing after meeting Brown and Denbrock I would say that's probably a bad sign for him and they're likely slow playing

Jerome Bettis Jr. has offers from Arkansas, TAMU and Mizzou. Don't know how committable those are, but when you look at similar three star players from the state of GA there are verbals to Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Miami, UGA and Auburn. The lack of a Georgia Tech offer gives me pause.

(Tennessee has five verbals in their 2025 class and four of them are 3 star Georgia kids. Weird.)

His junior year must not have blown up off the stat page or film session. One thing about these kids with the pedigree, they know what it takes in terms of putting the work in. That's the benefit of having a dad who played in The League. That being said, if he went somewhere like Coastal Carolina or Marshall he could probably flourish. Then hit The Portal later. The opposite is an option if he goes P5, can't get reps, he goes G5 via The Portal.

Denbrock and Brown certainly don't owe anybody anything coming into this as new staff members.

I don’t really see anything that stands out on his film. He seems to do a lot of things well. I don’t think he’s a difference maker.

That being said, if he’s the 4th WR in a four man WR class, I would be fine with that.

Weather is going to be a factor in South Bend for most of the Winter.

The more times you can get a recruit on campus the better. This is their one Big Junior Day event before the Spring game.

Boom! Make the sale on Wu’s brother, Marcus. Him beside Kingston and Bowen with Sneed and Ausberry on special packages to utilize their unique athleticism would be a tight LB rotation.

New offer. Top 250 guy. Definitely noticing Brown is going after some smaller guys.

Smaller guys who can FLY!! That's what we need some blazing speed on the outside. Kid ran 10.44/21.65 as a Soph!! Let's keep this kid from Ped St please.
