For real.. UM, Bama and possibly USC all looking for new coaches.. with all the new transfers out there I hope we have some roster flex...

I get Lanning is the hot name and Bama fans I’m sure think they can have the pick of the litter, but everything besides the history of winning titles at Oregon is comparable now with much less pressure. Their recruiting is on par, NIL support is probably the best in the country, and going to the BIG is now just as prestigious and tough a schedule as playing in the SEC. He can be the greatest head coach at Oregon that leads them to their first NC, or he could be just another good coach at Bama at best, and at worst ruins the dynasty of winning.

Curious why they would be so fast to take Lanning over Norvell. Norvell has done a tremendous job at FSU but also just saw firsthand the limits of FSU's situation. He also has at least a little more experience.

I know. But he spent one season as a GA at Bama like eight years ago. And Norvell is a more accomplished head coach. (side note, looks like Lanning was on Norvell's staff for a couple of years at Memphis)

1) One of the biggest days ever in college football. Helluva run for Bama and Saban. Dominoes are a comin.

2) Kinda ironic that Rees now will be looking for a job.

3) Georgia has to be smiling ear to ear.

4) It's borderline insane he was as successful as he was until 72. I would've retired 10 years ago and played golf in FL at his recently purchased $17m waterfront home.

5) Good luck to the coach following the GOAT.
