Damn you Tommy Rees, first you beat Georgia then you lose outright to scUM.
This wasn’t a talent gap. It was a coaching gap. It’s funny to see so many O players we recruited and almost had come to ND from QB to RB to WR
Well he going to The NFL and it will all be downhill from here for The Skunk Bears
Down here in the south... They laugh at ND... kinda this snide smirk that eats me up... acting like we're less than them.I can only speak from my experience in Miami against Bama in 2012, they are nowhere near the level of Michigan fans in terms of arrogance, assholery, and just generally being horrible to be around. Night and day difference
We haven't won a big game in my lifetime. Now we need to win 3 in a row?It will be our time as ND fans soon enough. Sweet dreams fellas
OkYou're probably right. I don't think Michigan or their fans care. They just won the Natty.
It's not getting vacated. 😕
At least I can always hold dear the fact that, deep down, I know Michigan fans know this wasn't legit. They'll say they don't care, but they will care that every other fanbase knows this championship was tainted. Just like we all know 1997 wasn't a legit championship (Nebraska was clearly the champ). Years and years of never letting them forget it will wear them down, even if it doesn't get vacated. You're probably right. I don't think Michigan or their fans care. They just won the Natty.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. You think Auburn fans care about their 2010 NC being tainted over having bought Cam? They couldn't care less. Think USC cares about their last NC being tainted because of cheating? No. Michigan fans won't care. 2010 didn't get vacated so Auburn doesnt really apply. USC fans do care and get really angry about it.
As a Patriots fan, gotta be honest it is pretty annoying to have to deflect deflategate comments. Certainly takes away some of the shine of that one. Do I truly believe it makes the championship any less legit? No, not really. But I definitely get less enjoyment from it because the conversation ALWAYS goes to the cheating allegations.I know Astros, Patriots, UNC and Kansas fans lose a ton of sleep over their teams misdeeds 😆
If you get into the playoff enough times, things often eventually work out. This Michigan team probably doesn’t win in a 12 team playoff where a healthy Georgia team doesn’t make it. Shit idk if they beat OSU on a neutral field considering it went to the wire at home against them.
This year was the perfect storm of UGA, Bama, and OSU breaking in new QBs. UGA had injuries in the SEC championship that kept them out. Clemson has fallen off. And Bama had more holes than usual as well.
It was a perfect year for fresh blood, and it just ended up being Michigan instead of UT or Washington, primarily bc of Harbaugh.
This type of year isn’t going to be the norm, especially with how UGA, Bama, and OSU continue to pull in talent. Gross how it lined up for them.
Unless you're OklahomaIf you get into the playoff enough times, things often eventually work out.
Did Oklahoma not win a title under Stoops?Unless you're Oklahoma
