This is all interesting and great for banter, but what I want to know is this.

Who is this LSU guy and how is his reaction score on par with mine? Unacceptable

Glad you get humor, thanks for playing along . . .

And glad you are reading N.T. Wright, good stuff for sure. He is a top 5 influencer of my theology and understanding of all things biblical.

One of my best friends on this planet was a Cajun boy from Louisiana and a big LSU fan.
You like N.T.Wright, I liked my cajun friend. So, I suppose there's room for being cordial.

What does this mean? Who cited it? And who called the plays that allowed Daniels to execute?

Certainly, there are always multiple factors that go into a player raising their completion percentage 10 pts but doesn't it seem disingenuous to give the QB coach the biggest credit for his play? We want a great QB coach but a great QB coach with a bad gameplan probably doesn't do much.

Jayden may have been the one to say the QB coach was instrumental and that's a great thing. But are you suggesting Denbrock had less to do with the Jayden and the offense than the QB coach?
McShay has been adamant that LSU's secret was to get him to let loose and take chances. Said BK told him that they wanted Daniels to give up a pick if it meant he was slinging it. McShay says this lines up with what he sees on tape.
SLC is closer than Ogden to UofU. That said, Ludwig could live closer to Ogden's regional airport.

Also, no thank you.

Well, this might be an interesting day. Flight is getting ready to leave Utah. Who's going over to SBN around 1130 to get some intel?

The University of Utah is in Salt Lake City, not Ogden. Weber State is in Ogden, and I doubt that they would be hiring Mickey Mental, WSU's head coach/OC to become the OC at Notre Dame.

Ohio native and Baldwin Wallace grad. Coached at Notre Dame, OH. He was hired as Weber State HC exactly one year ago today 12/20/22.

Really only posting this because I had to look up whether that was his actual name.

I bet we're trying to save a few bucks for a regional airport. They charge more when there's international in the airport name (Salt Lake). Couple $100 towards the buy-out.

Most likely nothing though, just seemed odd flight/timing with history. Ogden airport is not that far from campus itself (30ish+ miles) if you lived in other direction, could be closer.

As a Northern Utah resident, if I had a private plane flight I think I'd take it out of Ogden rather than Salt Lake. If you have been to the SLC airport since the remodel a couple of years ago, it's not fun navigating around. Terminals are mile-long walks and the crowd is bigger than before the expansion. Ogden is much quicker/less busy if you're looking to show up and go.

Ludwig is originally from Ogden as well according to good ol Wikipedia. So he might live somewhere that direction from campus anyway.

It would be really weird if he is on that flight after all the shit that went down last year with him. BUT, if it is, there's no way ND brings him back unless an agreement has been made and he's coming to finalize the deal...IMO

I'll get over it but I'll be pissed for a bit if we hire fuckin' Andy Ludwig after all that has transpired.

Surely we can do better than that. Let him keep his Utah gig, we need something more this time around.
I was more open to it last year as the OL coach was also supposed to come with him. Seemed like a good fit at the time. Not as much now.

Freeman has to be aware of fans using flight tracker after all these years. Swarbrick even interviewed HCs in a hotel back almost 15 years ago.

Surely they aren't having candidates fly direct to South Bend on a trackable private jet flight.

I would have to agree. He's been on campus. He's talked at length with Freeman. The only reason that I can think of is if the new athletic director wanted to meet him in person.

I’m trying to figure out who you are and how you’ve apparently been on this site so long without me ever noticing,…..
If memory serves, he's a protestant minister of some type. He started the Theology thread that Whiskey was very active in.

He says protestant things from time to time but we can forgive him for his 'reformed ways'. Luther-love aside, he's an ND fan, which can make up for a lot more than these minor grievances.
