Caught the emergency hit and hustle with Flamang and normally pessimistic mike Frank filling in for Uyeyama talking about parker leaving.

The big takeaway imo, was Frank staying that this based on what he has heard regarding infrastructure plans yet to be announced and how competitive we've been in the portal, this is the most supportive he has seen from the decision makers since he has been running a site.

Highly encouraging, esp coming from frank who makes an effort to be tempered/ pessimistic.

I had the Varsity subscription a few years ago. I was happy to support ISD, but it really amounted to an extra podcast behind their paywall. I couldn't figure out how to listen to it in my regular podcasting software, somewhat understandably. Made it less worthwhile for me because I'm never at my computer and only listen in my car while driving.

There are no ads and folks ask questions there vs. having discussion. So it's question and then answer without someone hijacking the thread or 20 other people chiming in.

It was created mainly due to people wanting to support ISD more than something of extra benefit.
