Intriguing Safety Recruit to Visit Notre Dame on Saturday

I am by no means Freeman's biggest fan and I never could quite bring myself to finish the application to the Marcus Freeman fan club.

However, he has the exact recruiting strategy that I would want him to have.

Counting Cree’s commitment, there’s two kids I *really* understand (Flannigan, Knight), six kids that I’m fine with being the floor of the class and one kid I *really* don’t understand.

It’s fine right now. If this is as fine as it ends up getting by next summer, then I’m pretty nervous. I don’t think that will be the case though.

Pretty crazy distance to travel during season.

He always mentioned visiting USC for a game this season. Three times is a lot for a kid from Wisconsin, but USC has been in the running for him the whole time. I wouldn’t say he’s a lock to ND, but the odds are better he ends up at ND than USC.

But, recruiting is wild. He could commit to USC next month and I’ll look like a total turd for my take.

Cree Thomas and Joseph Reiff both just received their fourth star from Rivals. This is likely why ND moved up to #1 without any new commitments.
