He was really bad this season. Clearly has all the talent in the world but he chased the bag directly to a place that didn't develop him. I understand chasing paper but his NIL money might take a long term hit. At least Bowen and Keeley ended up with good coaches. Moore would have played for anyone and that indiscretion cost him. With all of these proven names in the portal he probably isn't making as much next year as he would being our presumed starting QB after a redshirt.

As painful as it is to many, there really are 5 star talents not worth recruiting. The headaches they bring almost always guarantee they won't reach their talent level and even if they somewhat reach it, they're always causing problems for their teammates and coaches.

One of the hidden skills MF will need to develop is discerning quickly which top talents are like that early and not wasting program resources on them.
