He's already fucked. It's not like ND can pull WR transfers out of their ass. They're limited on who they can take, this will have ramifications for years to come. Freeman is screwed.

From my understanding its because Notre Dame hangs out to the thinking that they expect players to be able to graduate on the standard timeline. You can't allow players to transfer in who won't be able to make up the credits. They refuse to cheapen the degree for football players

Big state schools have a lot of optional filler type classes that ND does not. If guys are taking yoga and personal finance just to get by then it's an issue.

Trading youth for a transfer graduate doesn't solve anything. We're going to have big holes in the coming years, and ND is very strict on transfers even if someone is available. This event will have lasting issues, especially in two years when these players would have been upperclassmen.

Even if they were just average you need depth with experience. I am not going to say this is a sinking ship but we sure are taking on some water.
