They wont be next year. A whole bunch of mid teams are inflated right now cos of the extra year covid players
But KSU will be?

KSU isn't there this year. They weren't there last year. Doubtful they'll be there next. Washington is a bigger stage with more money and resources. It's a better opportunity.

If Riley Leonard is coming ..... what implication does that have concerning the current ND transfer policy? I've seen nothing to indicate that Leonard will be a grad transfer. ND's policy has been that they will only accept undergrad transfers if they can still graduate in the original 4 year window. It's virtually impossible for an incoming Junior to get admitted to ND as a transfer. I think up to this point, it has been unfathomable that a rising Senior could transfer into ND. I'm guessing that there has never been anyone that has been admitted as an incoming Senior (athletic or non-athletic).

247 profile says Leonard was not an EE. Would seem virtually impossible for him to graduate in December. More likely, he might be able to graduate in May. But that would mean he misses the spring with the team.
This is simply not true. NDs taken non-grad transfers before. There is no policy that they won’t. They have to be academically up to date with their class so that they would be able to graduate in four years and their classes would have to transfer. That is why ND doesn’t typically take grad transfers as most schools don’t meet ND’s academic standards. Duke does and is why this is a possibility.

You're right, I should have said "Not trying to be brutally honest"

In terms of a graduate transfer coming from Duke to ND, with what they offer as opposed to Oregon makes zero sense.

Not trying to be a dick.
First he’s not a grad transfer so I don’t know why you are assuming he is. Second, it was pointed out to you the numerous reasons Why one would come to ND over say Washington and statistically speaking NDs offense was actually pretty damn good even if inflated by shity competition. So you aren’t being neutrality honest just extremely inaccurate.✌️🤣

I just spent sometime over at the II board.

The quote that Loy shared regarding being aggressive in the portal just perfectly encapsulates these moments.

"They have a really good team next year, but are looking to add key pieces and make a real run in 2024.”

The real run comes in 2024 ladies and gentlemen.

Then 2025, then 2026, then 2027. We better load up hard-core on the defensive side of the ball and hope for 2 defensive TDs a game plus a special team's TD a game so pork chop doesn't have brain overload trying to come up with an offensive gameplan to score points

All fair that maybe he shouldn't have said "real run" and just make "another hard run" for 2024.

I do think the thing we should be moderately excited about is that ND has a plan and has mobilized quickly to be a player in the new CFB landscape. Anyone who wants to stay relevant and competitive must respond to change and use it to their advantage. It feels like ND is doing that, atl east if early reports are to be believed.

Alright, I'm going to YouTube to watch Riley Leonard highlights & I'll have my armchair scout opinion soon.
Holy sh*t he's fast.. and he runs a lot.

Seems to have the arm strength.. Also seems to want to take off running in lieu of going through his progressions but again.. I'm a dumbass and don't really know what I'm talking about.

But I'd love to have the guy.. Tons of 3rd down conversions with his legs, good arm to sling it.. really opens up the read option with a huge stable of backs..

It's a homerun and I'm all for it.
