Random news... looks like season ticket prices (at least for the plebs) are saying the same for 2024.

Pretty cool but I’m hoping to see a greater jump next year. Especially against the top teams.

I probably get to invested into ND Football. I try to do everything thing I can around Saturdays so come game time I get to watch the game. I will still buy hundreds of dollars worth of apparel. But I might just need to lower my expectations of the football program. If I do this then maybe I won’t be as disappointed.

it would be a very political thing for the Joe Moore Award committee to ignore them if won the B1G i think.
I don't think so.

Michigan's OL hasn't been anything particularly great this year. It's good, just not Joe Moore award good.

Their guards are still great, but the tackles and center are a step below what they've been the past 2 seasons.

The only reason they're garnering this much hype is because they've played nobody. The one team they've played that isn't subpar is Penn State, and they managed 24 points, 10 of which came off turnovers by PSU's absolutely abysmal offense.

Georgia, Oregon and Oregon State are top 13 in yards per rush attempt. Michigan is 36th. Hell, they're averaging less per rush than ND. And that's against their putrid schedule.

Who do you think return, leaves or you have no idea what they do in regards to their final year of college eligibility?

Let the prognostication begin:

Joe Alt - gone (no brainer)
Audric Estime - gone
Blake Fisher - gone
Rylie Mills - gone (he requested an NFL grade last year so I think he’s champing at the bit to go pro)
Howard Cross - ?
JD Bertrand - gone
Marist Liafau- gone
Jack Kiser - ?
Xavier Watts - gone
Cam Hart - gone (no brainer)
Zeke Cortell - gone
Clarence Lewis - ? (I think either he or Ramon return but not both)
Ramon Henderson - returns
Deion Colzie - gone (transfers for more playing time)
Andrew Kristofic - returns
Chris Tyree - ? (Does he want to transfer to a place where he can be featured full-time?)

Am I leaving anyone out?

Fisher, Mills and Watts return. Watts not participating in senior day was kind of a dead giveaway, and I don't imagine he's going to garner a day 1-2 draft projection.

No way in hell Fisher gets anything but a RTS grade, so he'd be utterly stupid to declare for the draft.

Mills needs more film of him starting at DT. He's had good moments, but has been inconsistent.

If everyone returns who should, including Al Golden, the Defense will be elite next year.

I really hope Cross comes back too.

I know people don’t want them to come back, but the LBs coming back would be awesome too.
If the younger guys beat them out, so be it, but having that experience back with young talent is ideal.

I can’t remember the eligibility of the DE’s?

II was pretty confident Cross would come back. Out on every OL.

Help me remember, Baptist is gone, right?

But a starting DL of Burnham at SDE, Cross & Mills at DT, and Traore at the rush DE, would be a sick DL.

Then the LBs, whichever way you want it.

And the secondary being Morrison & Gray, Mickey at nickel, Watts & one of Henderson/Carter/Shuler/Minich/Talich.

With Al Golden, that’s a top 5 Defense.

Also, having Onye, Rubio, AK & Vernon rotating at DT would be nice.

I think an underclassman LB leaves.
Not enough room for Sneed, Bowen, Ausberry, Ziegler & KVA the next two years.

It was rumored cross already planned on coming back before this season started. Or he told the staff. I’m excitied to get some speed at LB. I think Ausberry, Sneed, Bowen, and Asa is gonna be a hell of a LB group.

Baptiste is gone. He's in his 6th year.

I hope Cross comes back, but I'm also very excited in Rubio and think he would excel in a starting capacity. Him and Mills would be a dominant interior, plus Onye, Vernon and Ford (really think he'll add some weight and move back inside).

Those guys have potential but having two inexperienced, somewhat undersized, first years starters on both edges could be a problem, particularly against the run.

Burnham has played a lot this year, & has been really good.
I think he will be fine.
Traore might be a 3rd down guy to start.

Might be enough room for the underclass LBs. Many talking about Liafau, Bertrand and Kiser possibly returning but those guys are already in their fifth year. Really doesn't make sense to come back for the sixth year unless you haven't played much and have something to prove or if you need another degree. Doubt if these guys are in either of these boats.

I'd change Fisher, Mills and Watts to ?, Kiser has no reason to stay. No reason to ask Lewis back, he's not good enough. Same for Kristoflec. Three guards ahead of him already. Rest of them look right.

Why should our leading receiver transfer, other than the fact he could be the focus of a better offense somewhere?
just guessing, but I suspect there’s way too many slot receivers on the roster & Tyree likely prefers a year where he’s THE guy at that position so he can showcase for the NFL. He split reps this season for obvious reasons but I bet he doesn’t want to come back to do that again.

Chris Tyree seems like the ultimate team guy --- doesn't feel right as a transfer.
If he were some worldbeater getting ready to explode, well, maybe ... but don't see that.

The problem (IMO) is he’s nominally sharing his position with Greathouse and Faison. Faison went from not playing to getting a lot of burn and Greathouse hasn’t been healthy most of the year. On top of that there’s Raridon getting healthy and he can split out.

Tyree might be worried about his snap count next year if he stays at ND.

That’s the key. Tyree is a great kid & a great ND man but he also sacrificed a lot and wants to see it through. As a great team guy he took the position change from RB to WR. In most folks’ eyes he’s ahead of schedule in his WR development. One more full season of reps could allow him to cash in. If ND insists on him splitting time w/ underclassmen, it’s hard to argue against him looking for greener pastures. Business decision.
