Upgrading OC and WR coaches will go a long way toward determining whether MF has real staying power. I think the program is in a good place overall, but those two spots are just woefully deficient.

If Parker is fired, I’m legitimately worried he’d try to bring someone like Paul Chryst in as OC.

1). New OC and while new scheme and identity NO TRESSEL BALL - it is not 2001

2) Figure out what in the crap is wrong with your away game preparation. Look at literally everything. Analyze every link in the chain. Remove anyone who is not doing their work.

3. Go all-out with dropping bags for every top grad transfer at positions of need.

I certainly don’t want hate. I want wins. And if it were my choice, it’d be Freeman brining those wins. He’s just incapable of consistently doing that at the present.

Edit: Let me also add that 8-4 or 9-3 are the same to me. We end up playing for absolutely nothing at the end of both those seasons.

I trust MF with a full offseason to get a new OC. People forget how much horrible timing he's had to deal with in regards to coaches leaving. He still almost pulled off the miracle hire until ND admin killed that dream. He then had to settle on Parker. He'll fix this... I hope.

Freeman’s saving grace next year is all about making the expanded playoff. So, post season life gets a lot easier for him. If he can’t get ND back into that conversation in year 3, then he shouldn’t be the HC.

So you trust him or you hope he'll figure it out? He hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt
