Dad can never show his face at the local Applebee's if son spurns Nebraska
A true Notre Dame fan knows to write off a ND commit when his father says that and write off a ND target that's committed elsewhere when a father says that.I still put this one at 50/50. Carter's Dad pulled a "right now".
"But he’s steadfast for Nebraska right now"
If that was a ND commits Father saying that, we would be writing him off.
Why is that in italics? He won't be able to show his face at Cracker Barrel either.Dad can never show his face at the local Applebee's if son spurns Nebraska
A kid who's family forces him to be at every home game possible🤷Nelson has yet to miss a Nebraska home game and will be in Lincoln on Saturday for the Northwestern affair.
Sounds done to me. Who wants to see Nebraska vs Northwestern???
I don’t believe so. He already took an official, but I don’t think this was his first game either. Was this his first trip to Notre Dame?
No, he OV'd over summer. Was this his first trip to Notre Dame?

No, he took his official in the summer I believe. So he paid his own way on this one unless you believe the Husker boards implying that we paid him to visit. Was this his first trip to Notre Dame?
I hope we did. If we cant use NIL to get prospects to campus, what the hell can we do. Low cost and not "immoral" even to the most tightly wound clown.I mean if he took a PJ like was reported, i'd have a hard time believing we didnt contribute towards that
er... I mean Amorion WalkerTwo words... Keyser Söze
I agree, but could also see a scenario where dad is trying to deflect a barrage of unwanted pressure while he makes a decision. Either way, we have a solid class and a room full of young, talented TEs. We’ll be fine.Dad running interference tells me he’s not flipping.

I hope you are right!Kid has to leave in small town Nebraska for another few months at least so his dad has to say that. ND just got to keep him second guessing til January and then all bets are off

Tough decision for the kid - hope he picks the good guys. I just don’t buy the trajectory that Nebraska is on. Dude could be better than Michael Mayer/Brock Bowers at ND, or just another Nebraska TE.
I mean he could be a legend at Akron too. Not sure if decades of sucking at every position on the field is a strong selling point relative to a school with the longest line of success at your position in all off college football. And he could be legend at Nebraska, or just another in a long-line of TEs at ND. It goes both ways, albeit, this way is a lot weaker lol
Ah

It’s almost like TE’s success might be correlated with, idk, QB play and OLine play. What will the rest of his team look like at Nebraska, vs at ND?Hometown kid, could have a huge legacy as a player if he becomes what many people he could be. Nebraska hasn't had a TE drafted since 2002, and the last one of merit was Johnny Mitchell in '92. He could go down as the best in school history.

I think we’re all on the same page here and my original comment was disingenuous. Yeah, of course there’s a route where he has a huge legacy if he succeeds at Nebraska. Same is true at ND. I don’t think there’s any arguing, however, that his career probably pans out better at ND.
Can't be a legend at that position playing for Nebraska, seeing as thought they never have a QB who can throw the ball. Martinez was the last good QB they had over there. And he could be legend at Nebraska, or just another in a long-line of TEs at ND. It goes both ways, albeit, this way is a lot weaker lol
