Loy keeps pushing the Carter Nelson flipping angle for ND. Nebraska is taking a 4th TE this class in flipping some guy from Pitt. Sounds like insurance for when Nelson flips
Wow. Would be our 2nd highest rated recruit on 247

I'm not holding my breath because it's always click driving season for Tommy boy, but it at least seems distinctly possible unlike some recruitments that have been touted in the past.

Loy held the ND bag throughout for KVA, Lambert, and Deuce Knight. Yes he's out on a limb more but doesn't get the credit when he reads it right.

Either way, makes hoping Nebraska upsets Michigan easier to stomach. Either it's an upset or Nebraska continues to get crushed making them less desirable you'd think.

So what's the scoop here? The nice thing is whoever we land at TE in this class we should be able to redshirt Evans, ELI and Staes will be the guys next year.

I would be shocked if Loy was the only insider who felt good for a while that ND would land Lambert. I'm the furthest thing from an insider and I had info about a year and a half ago from a few people who are very plugged in to his HS program that convinced me he was going to wind up at ND.

Just checked out some of his 2023 highlights. 247 lists him at 205. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, there's no way he's 205, right?

Not sure how much room we have in our class but I'd take a look at a few of the Nebraska guys

Maybe he's staying low key and waiting to flip later on to avoid the crap that's going to be flung his way once he announces?

That kid who might be flipping to Nebraska is 6-foot-7, 260 pounds in high school. That's a future OT, not another TE commit.

So what's the latest here
Nothing has changed. ND will continue to try flipping him, while Nebraska thinks they hold onto him. Loy is pushing Nebraska recruiting more TE as an insurance policy, but as someone else mentioned, the player he's referencing is huge and seems to be more of an OL recruit.

I love a good Loy roasting as much as the next guy, but he's been on the money with the way the class has played out thus far.

Having said that, I'm sure 247 would be interested in finding someone to generate clicks leading up to NSD, because right now the ND staff is generally avoiding drama-filled scenarios with finishing out the class. That's not good for 247's business lol.

Grow another inch and shed 10 pounds of unwanted weight and the Irish would have a TE monster!

You people keep doggin the dude, but fact is, he's been doing a hell of a job the last few months.
He definitely has lately.

With Nelson, I *could* see him flipping to Notre Dame. He really seemed to love it here, but he fell for the hometown pull and new coach trying to energize the program. That could stick, or mean he’s waiting until closer before he’d have to leave town because he flips.

I’m just not sure if taking what seems like a future OT is selling me on the result. I sure hope he does flip though!
