Booger- if you know of more Native Americans playing CFB, great. I was simply responding to the discussion about how there is only about 10% African-American coaches yet 60 to 65% African-American players and some knucklehead brought up Asians and Native Americans. Thank you for your great contribution.

Maybe he rehabilitates himself as a DC first but if guys like Freese and Petrino can get jobs, Tucker will be just fine in the long run.
Not that I like him, but to be fair, Petrino's escapade was consensual.

If I'm MSU, my first call is to Elko. Make him say no. And if he does -- and because the program absolutely needs a steady hand -- my second calls would be to Dave Clawson and Lance Leipold. Just think both those guys are all around great coaches and culture guys, and they've shown they can succeed with the type of recruits a tier below what MSU typically gets.

The second tier would be Klieman and Candle. Some people are mentioning Hartline, but I'm not sure MSU can take that big a risk.

I agree with this. I like some of the assistant coaches that have been mentioned but I'm not sure that the program is in a place to take that kind of a risk.

Elko, Leipold, Candle, and Kleiman would be my first calls.

Been a long time since I logged onto this board, I am a Spartan at heart and alum… also with family ties and huge love for the Irish… this is going to get worse and worse for msu the more it goes on. No clean shake out. We will owe tugger a very large sum of money no matter how things go at the hearing in October… elko is top a tier target for me personally, he has been talked about on our boards, but not by anyone in the know. Just hopefully dreaming. Candle and kleiman would also be great targets. It’s unfortunately going to be a very long time before we can even begin the search because I have a feeling parting with Tucker isn’t going to be clean or cheap.

Sounds like a sticky situation

This situation should end with a climactic finish and end with much happiness.

Apparently there were dozen of calls between the two and most were longer than a few minutes, so this isn't a one off situation. The call that is the foundation for this claim lasted 36 minutes! Now Tucker is saying he realized he shouldn't be having a relationship with someone he hired to speak to the team, so he decided not to bring her back and ended it. That's when Tracy went to MSU with her complaint.

Sounds to me like both are culpable.

Yea only one side has tens of millions of dollars on the line. She had to know this too.

I keep coming back to the idea that if Matt Campbell is ever going to leave Iowa State, this is going to be the time.

With the landscape of the Big 2 conferences lapping the rest in terms of dollars, I could see Campbell being willing to move to maybe a Minnesota in a few years whenever someone inevitably bites on PJ Fleck. The difference in dollars is just gonna be staggering.

I guess they won't have his hearing in early October as originally planned.
They don't need a hearing if the facts he admitted to are sufficient on their own.

Even taking his side of the story as true and correct, he attempted to start a romantic relationship with a third party contractor whose activities with the university were under his authority as an employee - and then lied about it.

Michigan boards already asking who they can poach?

Funny for 3 reasons:

1) Michigan fans always act like MSU is below them & their players can’t get into Michigan.

2) Why do they want players from a bad team?

3) ND already got the best player committed to MSU, Audric Estime…

Which they would gladly would have allowed two years ago when they were 11-2…
(Which is when it first happened & they did, in fact, ignore it.)

Moral Turpitude is Monday's phrase of the Week

Example in a sentence: Davonte Neal displayed moral turpitude when he killed that guy

There is a USA Today timeline article that I haven't read. I should really take a look at that.

EDIT: Here it is. Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker accused of sexually harassing rape survivor

To be fair to MSU, it sounds like they learned about it in December of 2022. Also, they potentially didn't have any statements from Tucker until the leak and Tucker's representation went public about his side of the story.
