Kind of like this game with a scrammbling QB who can throw it too. Good acclimation for USC down the road.

Different game every week. Maybe they’ve had their eyes on next week? I’m not saying they’re great, but I expect they will play much better against our lads.

Either NCSU mistakenly trust their OL or they don't really trust Armstrong. They ran the ball a LOT on 2 and 3 yard situations.

I originally thought that this game would be a barometer for who ND really is. Admittedly I just listened to all the pundits reasoning. It was just one game and also their first. They may be keeping it close to the vest. However, when they play ND, ND will be a top ten team (possibly after this weekend). They will give it their best shot. We just have to make sure we don’t get caught looking ahead.

That sucks.

I'll go on with the rest of my day, and probably won't be sober in doing so.

So much for a trap game. These guys look awful.
NCSt is notorious for playing down to their competition and playing up to their competition. I know ND handled them a few years back when we were told to expect a nail-biter but playing a nooner on the road against a team that just struggled w/ a G5 team is a perfect recipe to a trap game. Just look at all the responses after NCSt game last night saying how bad they are. I’m going w/ the anti-jinx and stating they will be much better next week than what we witnessed last night in Storrs

Originally this game opened with ND being a 6.5 point favorite and was bet down to ND -5. I've seen the line adjusted to -8/-9.5 for ND. I feel a little better with the extra 4.5 points cause it gives ND wiggle room not to cover. Hope people don't assume because NC State had a competitive game against UConn that means ND is going to roll them.

I expect ND to beat them handily based upon many factors but I won’t be surprised if the game is closer than expected. The noon kick will likely benefit the Irish as I’d anticipate the crowd won’t be quite as raucous compared to a later start where the fans are in full liquor lather.

For a school with approximately 30,000 students, I don’t believe I’ve ever met one NC State alum.

I know a handful but not surprisingly, they are all from NC originally (and some still live there).
It’s odd. I went to graduate school in Nashville — I met my fair share of Wake, Davidson, UNC, and Duke folks…never once did I meet someone affiliated with NC State.

Per fanduel, we open as a -7 favorite. Surprising to me at least, thought it'd be more.

Weird. That’s the same or less than what it’s been right? I feel like I’ve seen it hovering around -8 or -7 over the past week.

Guess we didn’t really learn much through our performance this week.

I did too. I think more of Armstrong than others actually. He can pass and run some. Just don't we curb stomp this team and think there's a decent chance this is a game. Very curious to see what schemes Parker and Golden dial up in this one. The honeymoon with Navy and TN St is about to end.
