Joe Burrough was the best of all of them.
He not only beat 3 Bama, 3 Clemson,
4 Georgia, 4 Oklahoma, 7 Florida, 9 Texas,
9 Auburn, etc…., he put up crazy numbers on everyone.
Burrow was a stud, but he also had a ridiculous supporting cast, especially at WR.

Many of the other highly successful QBs often do too. Of course WR success is highly correlated with QB success.

I genuinely believe that our offensive issues the past few seasons were 70% WR, 30% QB. Del Vaughn really screwed us. Sure, we’ve never had a Burrow/Stroud/TL/etc, but our QBs were good enough and highly recruited.

On the other side, I can go on and on about those Bama/Clemson/LSU/OSU teams and Jerry Jeudy, Amari Cooper, Devonta Smith, Calvin Ridley, Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Sammy Watkins, Tee Higgins, DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Williams, Michael Thomas, JSN, Garret Wilson, Chris Olave, Marvin Harrison Jr… many of these dudes were on the same team lmao. No disrespect to Will Fuller, Chase Claypool, etc… but it’s just a massive gap.

I think if you switched the WR cores in the OSU/ND game last year, I think we win by 10-20. If you give us Stroud and OSU Buchner, and keep the WRs the same… I’m not so sure we win, or maybe it’s a slight win.

Just my two cents/rant. Everyone always seems to focus on our QB, but I genuinely believe top-5/top-10 WR recruiting would take us further right now and be a greater value add. Big believer in Chansi - hope he, Cam Williams, and others start to get us there.

Is it so crazy for ND to land a blue chip QB from a Nashville private school? I don't really think so.

I might be reaching here, but how much does his move from MS to TN have to do with academics? I ask cause maybe he needs to qualify(class wise, not grades) or wants to go to a better academic school.
