I didn’t realize there was this weird backlash until the comments on here. I guess if you’re in that echo chamber you hear that sort of thing. Also odd people haven’t even heard of it, pretty widely talked about in the Christian/catholic community.

We all live in an echo chamber to some degree.
The pro-human trafficking crowd who are anti-christian who said the lead actor has QAnon ties,...,...,..I look forward to seeing the activism from the very serious people towards assisting those most likely to be trafficked such as migrants and those in low income areas. With this incredible groundswell of support towards the issue I'm confident many will now view migrants in a much different light.
I think it’s widely known where the trafficking comes from and who is being trafficked. The movie isn’t popular because they suggest a bunch of blonde haired blue eyed wealthy anglos are being trafficked. You keep proving my point with every ignorant thing you post.
I was going to but ya'll couldn't help yourselves to continue politicizing it, so why do I have to shutup? lol. Why not discuss the content of the movie instead of saying how horrible it is for people to criticize an actor. Everyone moved on till the grievance gang wanted to bring up the politics of it (again).
This becomes my issue though. If you criticize the quality of the movie itself, does that make you a pedophile?
From what I've seen, the vast majority of the criticism hasn't been about the movie itself, but who made it and what their political views are, despite the fact that the movie itself doesn't seem to be political.
The irony is that since this movie has become the next battleground of culture wars in America (warranted or not), its brought more attention and therefore the message of the movie has been brought to more people. The filmmakers probably see that as a win.
And yet you still feel what you have to say is important enough to keep commenting on a movie you have never seen. The title of the thread is “Movies I just saw” not “movies I read this political article about”. Yet here you are.
I’ve heard plenty of criticisms on the actual movie from actual people that have seen the movie.
Because I simply responded to someone outside of your little group and it was like I kicked a hornets nest of angry middle aged men who love culture wars. There's plenty of people here who haven't seen the movie, yet here you are upset with me. Wonder why that is.

Yeah, if you have kids or grandchildren, it pays to check the sexual offender lists for your area. Over the years I've found two people I knew well, and another whose daughter was friends with mine and if I hadn't checked, I'd have maybe let her visit their home. It's a sick feeling to find a coworker or old classmate on the list and read why they're there.
I think the reason it’s so successful is because it’s so basic. Translates to every other country really easily.

3D in the theatre it’s pretty good. But even 3D it might go from a 6 to a 6.5, maybe 7.

Because I literally came across the movie for the first time that day and by accident opened this thread. My first post was not inflammatory at all. I connected the ACTOR to his past appearances with QAnon. You didn't have to comment at me, yet like always you can't help yourself to making it into something bigger than it is.
Please don’t lecture me on how you’ve actively done more by “working with” a charity. You do their taxes for a discounted rate? When I lived in NM I made 3-4 trips per year down south of the border on my own dime and have been as far as Iquitos Peru probably another 10 times. The actual jungle where we sleep under mosquito nets and physically “work with” actual trafficked kids and adults. You need a good place to stay in the jungle, I know people, I got you.
And yet you abuse your own children by lying to them about “god,” filling their heads with falsehoods about heaven and hell and other superstitious bullshit.
