Yeah I never really believed he was coming here. Would love to be wrong. I do not think Golden is helping us out In defensive recruiting

He was a prime candidate for a pink slip at the end of the year regardless of how this recruitment went. O'Leary might join him depending on how things go this year.

I kinda laughed at Freeman’s comment when he said that all of the assistant coaches were contacted by NFL teams. Besides DMC, Golden and maybe Stuckey, there’s no damn way.

I know for a fact Mickens has gotten NFL attention.

This was before his official to OSU.
KVA seems like a very mature & measured kid.
I think he goes home & thinks about his decision.
He didn’t commit to OSU while he was there.
I don’t see the pro-OSU stuff people are talking about on here?
Going into his visits the media was split on ND/OSU. Some thought ND lead & some thought OSU lead.
Everyone thinks ND did a great job on his visit.
I don’t think he has decided yet.

Kurelic isn't garnering much credibility from me if he thinks USC is anything better than a distant third. It's been like that for a while.

And saying this directly after the OSU visit isn't a legitimate measure. You need to give it time for the post-visit high to wear off and get things in order.

Interesting that KVA has already posted post visit images from his OSU visit on Instagram, but nothing from his ND & USC visits. But then again, what do I know…

Mickens is a great coach who will have a bigger job whenever he wants one. NFL has long had an eye on Rees. Mason was actually hired away by an NFL team. Heistand.

I had it mixed up. Mickens deserves some NFL attention. He’s a good DB coach.

He might be able to be a DC at the college level first.

Yeah. It’s probably whether he prefers college or the pro game.

Either way, Freeman made that comment when Rees, Mason and Heistand were all still on his staff. The only coaches from 2022 I’d be skeptical about NFL interest would be Washington and Parker. Maybe OLeary but he seems like a pretty good developer of talent.

He posted like 10 pictures from his USC visit.
I was actually referring to Instagram. I wasn’t aware of what he did on Twatter. Just thought it was interesting that he didn’t post anything from his ND official visit that I saw. Again, could mean absolutely nothing. Just something I noticed & thought it was odd. 🤷🏼‍♂️

All the ND images are getting graphic designed for the commitment release...

Maybe, but to have Biggins and Kurelic say they feel it’s OSU and then SC seems more like they were told this by someone close to this recruitment. The OSU rivals guys are even saying the same thing. I hope he picks ND, but the odds don’t look great.

ISD reiterating what has been reported.
Gonna need to start getting the last OV for kids like KVA, Jason Moore, etc. Was looking at some of OSU's past classes and it's incredible how often they got the last OV. There's no way they got the last OV by coincidence. I don't think we were ever the leader for KVA but getting the last OV wouldn't hurt. I think we were definitely the leader for Moore heading into that OSU OV, though.

Never thought about them getting the last visit, but you're probably on to something there. It does seem like ND is never that last visit, but maybe that's just recent recruiting battles clouding my memory.

It turns out Moore was never going to ND.
He told everyone after his OSU commitment that he was super close with the OSU position coach (can’t remember his name) & OSU was always his pick. The best just flat misread that one.

Last year they either received the only OV or final OV for 15 of their 20 signees. Per 247, of their 42 Official Visitors in the 2023 class they received the only OV or last OV for 23 of them (55%). There's no way that's a coincidence. Incredibly smart for their staff to do that and that's something ND needs to start doing.

A large number of those were kids who were committed to ND, thus their only OV was to ND.
