Interesting lineup from Pep today for pretty much a meaningless match:

Haaland
Foden, De Bruyne, Silva, Mahrez
Gundogen
Lewis, Rodri, Stones, Walker,
Ortega

Not sure, but it looks like their standard lineup except Foden, Mahrez, Lewis, and Ortega.

I would have thought for sure Haaland and De Bruyne would have started on the bench. Hopefully no injuries come, it's been a long season for them.
He has to keep them in some semblance of form. Sunday against Chelsea was the hangover match.

They have a meaningless match on Sunday against Brentford. Saturday June 3rd they go to Wembley for the FA Cup. Then they have the CL final on June 10.

Brighton vs City is cocaine in my bloodstream.
As a resident brighton fan the confidence to play this crazy vs city is exactly what I always wanted to see.

Brighton's recruitment team is incredible. I love their squad. Graham Potter is a tool for leaving to Chelsea. Got exactly what he deserved as far as I'm concerned.

Right, the FA CUP and the Champions League is coming up. I thought it was odd that he started pretty much a full line up. Then left Haaland on the entire game, De Bruyne on for an hour, and Stones and Silva on for 84 minutes. I figured if he started a strong squad, he'd sub three or four of those guys at half.

Obviously he is one of the best managers in the world, and I am at home, watching TV lol.

You say meaningless, but gonna be a trip if Thomas Frank gets the double over Pep

McKennie was disappointing in the Premier League. Hope Aaronson and Adams both get out.
McKennie was disappointing at Juve as well. Midified took a noticeable step up once he left for Leeds on loan.

I know he's still young, but he's got to start proving himself at the highest club level or he's going to wind up somewhere obscure or in MLS.

There are some suggestions that West Ham is looking at Tyler Adams in the inevitable situation that Declan Rice leaves them this summer.

I think there is value in what McKennie offers, but not in a tactically focused league like SerieA and certainly not at a "top" club like Juventus. I think with the right coach, in the right formation, with the right tactics, he could easily leverage his athletic abilities. I hope it lines up for him, would go a long way for him and the USMNT.

I sorta wonder if some of these bigger clubs are just bringing in Americans who are in over their head with the hopes that if the kid pans out, (insert Big Club) will grow in market share in the US.

That is 100% what Juve did with McKennie, and there is no doubt it's going on elsewhere. As a matter of fact, Juve is already looking into possibly parlaying the McKennie sale into purchasing Pulisic (which I would actually love to see happen -- Pulisic with the right coach at Juve would cook).

Pulisic needs to get out of Chelsea. Juventus would probably boost his confidence significantly.

If that's what these teams are doing, then these young guys need their advisors/agents/etc to sit down with them and explain (if they arent already) that they probably aren't ready for the show yet and are wanted largely based on their nationality.

They probably are being told some of it and believe they are the exception. Isn't Bundesliga sorta the place to be as far as balance of development/competition or has that changed?

Bold strategy going from one dumpster fire to another.
He may not have a choice. There has to be a club that wants him. In light of what a complete wreck Chelsea has been for him, Juventus might be the only option.

Ideally I'd like to see him be in the Premier League where he'd be a regular, but Chelsea may have totally ruined England's perception of him that it might not be possible.

Newcastle had supposedly inquired about him in the last couple of windows. I'd love to see that.

I am also not a fan of taking a 40-50% pay cut to play somewhere else over top premiere league team and a large team like Juventus. Never overthink what an elite athlete thinks their talents are vs normal spectators. I would love him at brighton but he makes nearly double any player they have their reportedly.

I get the whole "dont take a pay cut" thing. But Pulisic is 24. His contract expires in a year. Could/should be worth a pay cut to go and play somewhere and prove himself for his next deal.

Looks like Mason Mount will be off to United. First big English move of the summer. Think Ten Hag can get him back to his best; he'll replace Eriksen in the preferred XI.

Kovacic to City seems to have real legs as well.

First instinct is that gundo is gone to Barca

Newcastle can afford him.

Not sounding the alarm because he's still plenty young, but I feel like his next move is going to be pivotal.
