It was all pointed out to him the first time he posted about the proposed bill.
Yep. Cack carpet bombs us with misleading, often totally false, nonsense and then gets mad when nobody takes him seriously. Then when you show him that what he posted was blatantly and indisputably wrong (or even an April Fool's joke he fell for), he claims he was just joking and stirring the pot for a reaction.

Who's letting anyone off the hook? The grifters are plenty on both sides of the fence and accept these favors all the time. I didn't vote for Trump either time and won't if he is the candidate again. I rarely vote for someone twice. I do my part to try and keep new blood flowing through congress so we don't have these issues. Blaming the system for someone accepting payments isn't hold anyone accountable. I'm all for fixing the system, but it still comes down to the person deciding which path they are going to take.

Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: Because I was speeding?
Officer: That's correct. You were going 80 in a 55.
Me: Yes, but they built the car to go above the speed limit.
Officer: Yes sir, but it's called accountability. Ford didn't make you push the gas peal down a little more.
It's more than just voting. The candidates that show up on the ballot are usually already hand picked by the establishment. We need to get involved even before the primaries to make sure the candidates that are put on the ballots aren't already chosen representatives of the oligarchy. If look at the past 2 presidential races, and you can go back even further, not one single candidate was truly an out sider in either party. Bernie and Trump were the farthest fringe candidates for either party. One that has been in congress for decades, claims to be an independent, but has always caucused with the Dems and the other who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, went to exclusive private schools with the other oligarchs, and had an Uncle so influential in the govt he was one of the first to be assigned to confiscate Tesla's documents when he died.

Beyond that we need to organize and be in the streets but as stated before they have done a marvelous job at keeping us separated. A perfect example is this the Tea Party protests and the BLM or Occupy Wall Street protests. All of them had very legitimate reasons for organizing and marching but all the news said was that they were a bunch of fringe crazy racists or a bunch of crazy thugs looking to vandalize. Depending on which side of the fence you were determined which narrative you believed but almost to a T if you were conservative you agreed with the Tea Party protests and were against the other 2 and the same for liberals being against the Tea Party. In both cases the ruling elite won and the people lost as usual.

I'm sitting here wondering why the Tennessee three voted against the bill that significantly increased funding and increase state requirements for school safety measures. I thought it was about the kids.

"Root cause." Ridiculous. You could take the guns away, they'll still target schools and have done so in other countries. This is the right move. Once schools are no longer easy targets they'll no longer be targets.

If people were going to use knives instead there be similar levels of knife related deaths in countries without the same gun freedoms? There were 281 fatal stabbings in the UK last year of all ages in all scenarios. There were 1,300 teenagers that died from guns inside of a school, that's not even counting just walking down the street.

It's just a simple trade off, guns > kids. Kids aren't dying at the same rates from knives. There is no statistical basis to say murders were still happen at the same rates without guns.

Some gun control ideas seem very reasonable to me and I don't believe they are undue burdens. Additional waiting periods, age limits, assault weapons bans etc. I think some gun owners, if you asked them honestly, would not be opposed to some of those items. The problem is that there is a ton of fear of the "slippery slope".

With all that said, I am highly skeptical that any of those gun control ideas will result in any meaningful reduction in mass shootings.

That 1,300 number did not come from school shootings. That was the figure for the total number of teens killed by guns, according to the archive.

Of all kids affected by gun violence last year, a small percentage were shot at school.
In 2022, there were 50 school shootings that resulted in injuries or deaths, according to Education Week. At least 31 children were killed in the shootings, including 19 murdered at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Dr. Samaa Kemal, a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, said contributing factors also include the worsening mental health crisis among kids and lingering harships of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as financial stresses, decreased community-based resources and increased social isolation.

I'm not advocating that schools are safe by any means, quite the opposite. Even if school shootings are a small percentage of the homicides, they need to be fortified to prevent psychos from using them in their murder/suicides. That said, the 1,300 number is quite alarming if true and you wonder why the media doesn't report on that if so. By all accounts in the article it sounds like a lot of the guns aren't properly secured. I'd be interested to know what the circumstances are for all these shootings, not all of them are accidental discharges. They said those numbers don't even include suicides.

Oops, my bad. Looks like the figure is 40 people were killed in schools in 2022.

Right. 40 is still too many though, 1 is too many, which is why the schools need protected. It should be the safest place for kids, period.
There also needs to be media attention on that 1,300 number though, and why so many dumbasses don't have their guns secured.

But Uvalde has armed cops on patrol at the school and they did nothing. Adding more guns to schools and police who tend to over react to situations doesn’t seem to be the answer. I am also not for gun bans. I am for better mental health outreach and more access for ways to improve your life and status. More guns around kids and more under trained individuals who tend to bust and harass kids already doesn’t seem to be the answer.

I didn't say adding more guns is the answer or the only answer. Again, the venue remains the same because it's an easy target. If you take steps to no longer make it an easy target then they'll quit being attacked.

All for it but the democrats will never let him win and if they do they will hand cuff him from making any of the changes he is proposing.

I'm a Republican and am intrigued by it. So much so that I signed up for his campaigns newsletter to find out more about his vision for America. I'm willing to listen to what he has to say.

If I like him, I hope you're wrong and they don't 'Bernie' him.

I imagine if guns were outlawed the number of incidents with Knives would go up considerably.

Under that assumption, knife violence per capita would be lower in the US due to the availability of guns. That is not the case.

Look at the stabbing deaths, using the assumption that lower gun ownership would lead to more knife deaths we would see stabbings lower than other countries since they don't have the same access to guns. That is not true.

The weapons change, the venue remains the same: School attacks in China - Wikipedia
The same year in the United States (2010) there were 30,000 gun deaths in the United States. 30+% of them were homicides. Also, China has more than a billion more people. This “spate” of attacks would be a drop in the bucket in the US.

From your article, the school violence at the Chinese school that is compared to Sandy Hook had a big disparity in deaths, which can be explained by gun control laws between the two countries. The venue is the same … the results are much different.

Another misleading troll post from Cack, it's not a revolting ad, it's gold.
I made that ad personally. I’m 💯 percent the sole proprietor of its content and meaning. Trumps Super PAC paid me a shit ton of money to make that. Clearly I’m biased. I should have thought about how it would be construed by every poster in this thread and provided a deep context along with the Ad making sure everyone knows my intent behind it.

Unable to turn his mic off anymore now. They fucked up.
People in this country, on both sides of the aisle, couldn't name their own state rep right now if you asked them but they know who these two guys are. However they feel about it.

The part that really gets me is there were three and they let the white lady stay but expelled the two black dudes. Talk about miscalculation and showing your ass.

I’ve been repeatedly assured race had nothing to do with it.
