I wasn’t really directing it solely at you, there’s a handful of other responses you could all group together. I also am not telling you to do anything. You assumed both of those things on yourself.
I don’t like the Parker hire. I’ve said it countless times. I think others could have been much better. But if ND struggles on offense you will not find me once having any sense of “I told you so”. I dont think you’d say the same. I want to know what he wants to do. Why. How. All of it. Was the play just wrong or did the player not execute. etc, etc.
The hire is done, time to strap in.
And
I think you don't know anything about me.
Who am I telling "I told you so" to? The rest of the Notre Dame fanbase
who also doesn't think he was the right hire? What do I get from telling people who already aren't sold on him that I wasn't sold on him?
In the off-season, I think this hire stinks. And if he stinks during the season, it's going to be because he gave me statistical reasons to point to why he stinks. I didn't say Tommy Rees stunk because he was a lazy hire by Brian Kelly - even though he was a lazy hire by Brian Kelly. I said he stunk because I
could literally point to why he stunk.
But
I am going to be louder for Parker because he has the job because of an unforced error that continues the trend of unforced errors at the OC position for this program that are holding it back from being a championship caliber program.
Or I could be wrong! I have no reason to believe I am on February 20, 2023, but I could be! I said I was wrong about Tommy as a recruiter because he had success! You didn't see me say I was wrong about Tommy as an OC because his offenses never gave me a reason to say I was wrong.
