Tee Martin has been a lifelong WR focused guy, right? Including coaching up his son Amari Rodgers?

Obviously, he was a QB - but can he coach it?

I'd love to know what the staff views as an "ideal fit" is if we're interviewing Tee Martin
Don't think we are, pretty sure Loy was just spit balling. We might be looking at someone from the Ravens offensive staff though maybe.

It's amazing that the OC position at ND is not a coveted one. Good O'line, RB's, QB's and a national brand. What more could you ask for? Something is fishy.

See how this sounds? Alabama was looking for a while. There was posts on Lebby being courted by Alabama back shortly after the national championship game.

It's been exactly 7 days. I'd bet we have a definitive answer by day 14. People need to step off the ledge. This is totally normal.

I don't recall Alabama not hiring a very good and experienced OC. Check their former hires.

On a side note...247 is completely useless at this point. Probably need to cancel the subscription.

“ He says that Klein wasn't ever offered the job, that both sides agreed it wasn't an "ideal fit".”

Sounds like damage control. Not gonna fly in the kid if his tape didn’t “fit”.
You sure? Could be Klein had some unrealistic requirements that MF wouldn't agree to. Recruiting requirements, money or possibly wanting to bring his own guys with him.

Spit balling here -
But when I hear "fit" issues - I'm thinking it' not about Xs and Os. I think it's probably OCs not agreeing with NDs NIL approach. It's going to take a special coach who's fine with it.

Doesn't make sense because Klein is at KSU, where NIL is non-existent.

It's more than likely Klein wanted to bring his own guys. If he wants to bring guys in for roles currently held by Harry, Chansi and Deland, that would be a deal breaker.

Wow, that was a lot to get caught up on from my last post, last night, to now.

Edit: I was really coming around to the Klein hire. High risk/high reward as someone stated before. I felt like that was a risk that Freeman was comfortable with and I was ready to roll with it. A little let down by the news he won't be coming. But, there seems to be a lot of really good candidates out there so let's see what he's got.
