I mentioned before, if because of time of year and not much availability, how about Jim Svoboda Doing what he loves: new Tulane offensive coordinator Jim Svoboda happy to concentrate on one thing, who is no longer Tulane OC? Not sure why he left (or forced out), but apparently he inherited a 2-10 Fritz-led team after Chip Long left as OC and the '22 team only had one player exit via the portal. So pretty much the same 2-10 team including Pratt. Not sure how much play scheming/calling he was actually doing (or how he is as recruiter), but as we all know, they finished strong (12-2) and beat USC in bowl game and Pratt had a great year. He was a Broyles Award finalist in 2005 as UCLA QB coach, but then sucked as OC for them the next year and Dorrell canned him. So he has long QB coaching and OC and (some successful) head coach experience. A lot of questions but he was OC for Tulane for one of CFB's biggest season turnarounds ever and Tulane, their offense and Pratt all looked damn good at the end of the year!
The Athletic mentioned Slade Nagle, the current Tulane OC, as a possibility. They said that its pretty widely known that Nagle was actually the one calling plays for Tulane last year. That would explain why they got rid of Svoboda.

Being that I'm feeling SUPER green kool-aid mode tonight, can anyone of you smart football bros give a quick rundown of a Joe Moorhead offense?

Heavy use of 11 personnel
Lots of RPO’s
Designed QB runs
Option routes for receivers

Tbf someone like Buchner would be better suited to it than Hartman

I don't mean this in any type of way, but I wonder if Saban wants to be able to bully his OC. He hasn't really been able to do that recently and the above list doesn't really give off the 'willing to get ass chewed' vibes
Can't wait till the cameras pick up Saban chewing out Tommy and yelling at him to do his f'n job.

With Tommy, you live by the play call and you die by the play call. I'd love to see the new OC focus on development and execution... Shots downfield, hammer the ball inside and then more play action shots. Have an identity and then rep the hell out of it. The new guy doesn't have to be the smartest guy in the room all the time.

Yes, that makes sense now Tulane Football Promotes Slade Nagle to Offensive Coordinator Fritz says in article "He was extremely instrumental in our historic success last season and our offensive production was a big part of that." Good up and coming background Slade Nagle

The guy has to coach qbs, right? Unless more coaches leave. Wouldn't be surprised to see Dmc head back to the nfl if Freeman passes him over.
Who does that leave? I'm in for Moorehead. Sherrone Moore? Bonus points if he was a former HC who can help from an experience level.

Lfg, this is the dream. Wasn’t there some rumor of this being a dream job?
Not sure what the man's life goals are. But people should not forget that ND holds a strange mystical place in some people's hearts. Don't let the Urban/Saban stuff make you forget!

I trust Marcus to find a qualified man for the job.

If Moorehead doesn't work out, I really like what I'm reading (How Tulane football rebooted its offense in turnaround from 2-10 to Cotton Bowl) about Nagle at Tulane. I think he would be a great OC here and gel very well with MF and the team. He is all about balance and having a strong run game, leveraging two tight end sets and leveraging speed personnel to run jet sweeps and get them in space (ironically, our former LKIII being one of these guys at Tulane whereas he didn't do much at ND) so a lot of similarities to TR. But most importantly, I think he will adjust to the personnel he has to work with. You would think he would not be interested because he just got promoted to OC but it sounds like he's been involved with the Tulane offense for a while and only this year became the de facto OC at Tulane so maybe not as much of a new position as you would think. Fritz said he wants to retire at Tulane in like 2030 so he could have a nice career there, BUT if he's looking to grow and get more experiences on his way to becoming a HC (which he won't be at Tulane anytime soon), then ND OC job would be a great fit for him. Other than loyalty is the fact he has been in Louisiana most of his coaching career. But I have a feeling he would seriously consider the ND job if offered to him. Funny enough, I think he's a coach that could actually turn TB into a Pratt-like star (Pratt was really struggling until the changes that Nagle made to the Tulane offense this year), although that may be the one negative - that he hasn't been a QB coach, but I don't think I would be worried about that with him. Lastly, I like that he's up and coming and hopefully trying to expand his career and horizons and not an older, jaded coach who's been there, done that or has been in the NFL and would be coming back to CFB to coach. He would be my top choice if we can't get someone like Moorehead.

Another good read about Nagle at Tulane A Look at Tulane’s Power Offense that’s Guided the Green Wave to the Cotton Bowl

Tom is now HC at Florida Athletic or some such.

And Briles as of two weeks is the OC at TCU. I wasn’t sure if the original post was sarcastic as both are dipshits of the highest caliber and 0% chances of clearing the hiring process at ND

What? I’ve never heard of either being dip shits. What’s the go?
ND the school sounds a bit up itself by the sounds of it. No disrespect.
