Yeah I bet Freeman deep down is somewhat pissed. McCollough has to know the battle they’re in with OU to keep Bowen even though it’s the opposite side of the ball.

Not that the battle should deter his sons from going where they want, but they didn’t even visit anywhere else. Cmon.
it’s a tricky situation. This has nothing to do with McCollough’s job professionally but on a personal level, it makes ND look incompetent.

McCullough has done a great coaching job with the backs this year. I was particularly impressed with Diggs this season. As for his sons, it’s not a bad thing for them to want to forge their own path. It doesn’t mean ND is incompetent because they might not want to follow their dad.
It makes ND look really bad. It’s not fair to the ND staff, but that’s reality.

No it doesn’t, not if you have perspective on children and the choices they make. Not every kid/young man wants to follow the safety net of their dad. But again, perspective is needed.
It makes ND program look weak. How many other P5 coaches have their highly recruited sons go elsewhere?

Just because you keep saying it doesn’t make it so. There are any number of factors as to why they didn’t want to come to ND, and it’s not unrealistic to think that their father being here is one of those factors. Anyway, think what you want. I don’t think what you think though.
You’re naive. This makes ND look bad, even less aggressive posters think so.

And your idea of posting is sniffing your own farts, but flatulence is no joke. I’m not naive. I’m just not a full blown sociopathic asshole.
I am an asshole, but so what? There’s mean, hurtful things that need to be said. I want ND to win while maintaining some integrity but that means cutting lose some guys who frankly, aren’t good enough.

The things Notre Dame "fans" say make the school look bad versus national perception are very different.

The reality is they were never recruited by ND. According to the ISD and II guys they never had their academics in order for Notre Dame. This has nothing to do with them being stupid, their dad hating or leaving ND, or any other ridiculous conspiracy you guys come up with. It is as simple as they were not a fit for ND.

Not a bad thing, not a good thing, just reality. When you look at things through what actually happened, it doesn't make ND look bad. It makes you look pretty silly though.

Not great. They followed him to IU but not ND? Ultimately, it’s not his job to recruit Defense, but it looks bad.
Both were not at Indiana. One son was at Indiana and the other is a 2023 committ who was previously committed to Cincinnati

I’m being honest. The trends are mostly negative in recruiting. Hillman will be a good player, I think of him in the same manner as Ronan Hannafin. Don’t like offering 3* Edge rusher scrubs like Robinson. And I really don’t like that the friggin RB coach can’t recruit his own kids.
I respect a parent that allows his kids to make their own choices instead of pressuring them when it comes to attending college

You’d be surprised how many people don’t know you only get 1 free undergrad transfer. Can’t say I blame them when you’ve got a scrub like JT Daniels transferring to 4 difft schools.
Thank God you're the Encyclopedia of Knowledge. You'd be surprised how much inaccurate BS floated around here until you showed up. Now we see the light.

So we are 8 days away from finding out where he goes. Is he really going to flip to Oklahoma last minute? That would be a slap in the ND's staff face
Maybe he already told the staff he was leaving but as a favor he's holding on to prevent the class from whiplash

What are rules on in home visits? I'd show up to Peytons door step the morning of signing day
