This is what the US stands for, stopping the fiancé of Jamal Khashoggi from suing a TRUE dictator, Mohammed Bin Salman, for his kidnapping, torture and murder of Khashoggi. But, yes, they are just trying to bring freedom to the people Ukraine, nothing else to see here. They are truly benevolent and didnt do anything to cause or drag out this despicable situation. And of course they call out Putin as a dictator as they are trying to get better relationships with The Kingdom.

I have condemned it but I don't think Russia or Putin cares about my opinion. Also I am not a hippy but thanks for the assumption. I am for peace and people not killing each other and I can look at the facts and not fall for idiotic propaganda that has been used to make excuses for us to invade what 10+ countries and arm how many other countless countries since WWII in which not a single time were we there to spread freedom. Right now we are encouraging Ukrainians to die not for freedom but to enrich the Oligarchs. I am sorry you were not taught the skills to see through blatant war mongering. At every step where there could have been peace the west, specifically Britain and the US, have interfered to prevent it. I again am sorry that you don't seem to understand that and for some reason believe that more death and destruction is the way out of this. That will cause nothing but more death and destruction. Never knew so many Irish fans worshiped the god of war. Never realized how many Irish fans just fall in line for death and destruction. Thought you guys would be more aware and have critical thinking skills. My bad for assuming. I’m going to keep posting articles and pod casts discussing this topic but I’ll stop directly responding to any of you. Thought you guys would see more nuance in the situation. A discussion for another time and place, but I'm not convinced we made the right choice there. Yeah, I get that Britain is "family" and was at war against Germany, so we really had to take Britain's side and fight Germany, and the USSR was the enemy of my enemy, so... However, as bad as Nazi Germany was, the USSR was even worse in almost every way.

The only reason Iran calls us their number 1 enemy is because of the actions of the US towards their country and US’s support of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. We have not had diplomatic ties since 1979 because the Iranians over threw the the US installed Shaw and the US has had a hissy fit ever since. I thought you Ukraine supporters stood for countries to determine their own destiny. You seem to contradict yourselves. Al Qaida and Daesh were formed with the support of the Saudi Arabian govt and were backed by the CIA at their inception.

This is just a real poor reading of history.

The US overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran and installed a dictator to maintain control over the countries natural resources which said democratically elected leader said he wanted to nationalize. So there’s that.

The US then went all in with another dictator who used chemical weapons (while the US looked the other way) against Iran in a war said dictator initiated. That war wiped out an entire generation of Iranians.

Meanwhile, the largest terrorist attack on the US was perpetrated largely by Saudis, backed by Saudi money.

Who offered the US help to hunt down Bin Laden immediately after 911? Iran

Isis? Saudi bank rolled. Who helped dismantle Isis in Iraq? Iran.

Who were the assholes running around Europe shooting people at public events? Isis militants backed by Saudi money.

Iran is interested in developing, maintaining and controlling its sphere of political influence in the Middle East.

The Saudis are interested in exporting the off the wall religious fanaticism that leads to terrorist attacks globally.
