Clemson's secondary did not start the season that well. I have no idea how they have played since. Hartman gashed them but he is Sam Hartman. Pyne could have a shot at a decent game.

I live next door to Clemson. They have improved, but still bet if we had a qb with talent we could beat them. Clemson can shutdown our run game. But we still have to run it. Stay true to who we are.

Sadly the coaches usually get it right when it comes to the depth chart. Have to believe that Pyne is somehow better than Angeli given that history, though it's hard to believe.

Definitely agree with that but we all know ND needs some semblance of a pass game to open up the run. Clemson’s run D will be much better than SU’s

With Buchner being injury prone and a risk everytime he runs anyway, this is a fact. Better question is who can we entice to come?
This oddly feels a lot like BK's first season at this point...starting QB who is mobile and highly recruited gets injured, less mobile QB takes over. Lose some head scratcher games, win some games we probably shouldn't. Weird fucking season.

I can’t remember a more incompetent QB at ND unless you want to count Gary Godsey (TE who was still better than Pyne at QB), Pat Dillingham (walk-on who played after injuries knocked out multiple QBs), Evan Sharpley or Nate Montana (Walk-on)

I won't tolerate any slander of Dillingham! I was a big fan of Battle as a young dude, so it was so cool to see him get some redemption once he moved to WR, had a decent little NFL career too. It was hard seeing Michigan State dominate us there for awhile, I was screaming at the TV during this play. This win was cathartic.

I don't know what game preparation we're doing at home this season, but we need to cut the distractions and hopefully the crowd shows up. We didn't play super great on the road today, but still better than we've played in any game at home.

Navy might be a nice time to give Angeli a shot. They load up to stop the run and play a lot of zone on the back end. If we can't pass vs them we can't pass period.

That’s been almost every game. And probably 75% of that is because the QB couldn’t hit a wide open WR. There have been some drops but most of the time it’s on Pyne.

Shocker Pyne is not good.
