I think the key difference between Tim Ryan and Walker is that Ryan detailed publicly his position change. It appears he practiced what he preached in terms of his stance on abortion. Of course if it comes out that he deviated from his position in terms of practice then he should be raked through the coals.

Him changing his position isn't necessarily a "gotcha" since he has publicly stated his opinion and from all appearances practices this approach.

I would be curious to see his statements supporting abortion up until birth because in that twitter thread I couldn't see it. I think there should be ire from Dems towards him because how will voters know that he is actually pro-choice if his entire career up until 2015 was anti-abortion. Kind of like people thinking KH/JB will be these beacons of progressivism as they've been essentially anti-progressive their entire political careers (crime bill etc).

Dems and media want abortion to be the talk until November but Walker should stick the economy, inflation, crime, border, spending, energy, etc that impact people far more than the incident that the press is floating. No matter what state Walker or Oz are in, they are both hurting from Democrat policies.

As a reminder, the press sees pouncing as the issue on competence …

My post about Tim Ryan wasn't attempting to addressing the "practice what you preach" that's more relevant to Walker.

My post was pointing out that Tim Ryan made a drastic change in his stance that seemed to coincide with him trying to obtain more powerful positions such as Speaker of the House and Senator. Power over principle.

I forgot that Ryan was actually running for President for a period of time back in 2019. The man appears to have a thirst for power. His "change of heart" appears to be politically motivated. Can it be proven? Of course not. If it's not politically motivated in attempt to obtain more powerful positions, then it's just an amazing coincidence.

Again, this is not limited to just Democrats or just Republicans. I do agree that JD Vance was desperate enough to win the primary that he kissed Don's ring. Now he's trying to distance himself a little bit. It appears he made a calculated move that compromised a principle to seek additional power.

For someone who knows the Black community so well, you'd think we would know a clean, nice-looking, articulate black man isn't really anything remarkable,...........

We've seen that move a thousand times before.

I'll give her credit. She just says what she means instead of making a word salad.
I mean, if there is one thing I truly admire, it's the fact that so many of run out of fucks to give. It's pure dedication.

I saw this ad/survey yesterday from a political movement/organization called Indivisible Action:

We are witnessing the end of Roe at the hands of the right-wing Supreme Court, just as Republicans are on the verge of seizing power in the upcoming midterms and embarking on a historic rollback of the rights of all Americans.

But there are more of us than there are of them -- and together we are ready to show up, organize, and fight back like never before. Take our survey to tell us what is motivating you towards action.

That literally made me laugh out loud when I read it. For our friends on the left, does that sort of stuff actually work on you guys? Do you really believe this sort of political nonsense and dishonest scare tactics? This is right up there with "They want to control your bodies!" or "They want to take you back to slaaaaave days!"

Conversely do tactics like the below work? Scare tactics work for both sides imo.

"Government and big tech working together to censor those who disagree with them"

"Indoctrination of children in public schools"

"The Left wants to destroy the nuclear family"

Don’t forget: the Left hates God

Government and big tech have worked together to censor opposition. This has been demonstrated.

Have you heard of Glenn Youngkin?

…. Some of the extreme left yes, but I don’t see that as a mainstream view on the left.
But I do think the left wants to decouple people from the nuclear family strategically, because they are addicted to power-

Also the most pro-Venezuelan regime in my lifetime.

Dems trying to get elected:

He also said to the people of Florida yesterday that he lost an awful lot in a fire once, so he could empathize with them. Turns out it was that small kitchen fire from 2004.

Not all on the left, but certainly the majority.
This is dumb as fuck. You got any stats for this? I do. 72% of Dems are aligned with some sort of religion. 28% are not.

That a girl Nancy.

She’s exactly right. Immigration is needed for these types of jobs. Very few working clas Americans would be willing to handpick our food for Pennie’s on the dollar per pound in the fields. If you had any fruit or eggs or bacon this morning, guaranteed that an immigrant had many hands in getting that to your table.

Immigrants are easy to demonize. Always have been no matter their culture.

Pay attention and read a little more carefully. I didn't say I agree or disagree with what she said. I was simply referencing that she just spoke how she felt as opposed to some like our WH Press Secretary who will never give a truthful answer when it looks bad for the administration.

I’m sorry I didn’t see anything in you post about the WH PS

I say what I mean in here all the time. Maybe you could give me some credit. Lol.

Others pointed out the racism inherent in assuming Central American migrants will be fieldhands. Still others pointed out the strong “Who will pick the cotton?” vibes.

But most of all, her comments exposed something the Left has been struggling mightily to hide: that they talk about immigration in moral terms when in actual fact, they think about immigration in economic terms.

The national minimum wage remains a laughable $7.25 an hour, but few Americans are still making that little. Almost 80% of American workers now earn at least $15 an hour, thanks to the pandemic labor market. That’s still not a living wage in any major metro area, but the tight labor market has had a huge impact on low-wage and blue-collar laborers.

You know how you undo those gains? Import an entirely new working class from a failed socialist state made up of people who are willing to work for much less money than an American worker. Undercut working-class Americans by opening the border and signaling to the working class of other countries that there is work for them here.

Don’t take it from me. Take it from Sen. Bernie Sanders, who as recently as 2015 was telling Ezra Klein that open borders was a Koch Brothers proposal to undercut American workers. That is exactly what Pelosi is suggesting we do: Use immigration instead of raising wages for working-class Americans.

I didn't reference the WH PS in my original post. You just assumed in my original post that I was implying I agreed with Loesch's comments, so in my clarification I used the WH PS as an example. It's good to see some will speak their mind without regards to backlash. We need more to do this regardless of which way they lean.
