Then go to the NFL like Weis was....Our DL coach is a big, big problem.
Tommy Rees is weis 2.0. He calls the game for the team he should have, rather than the the team he has.
I like most of what you said but to point 4, BK has a how many decades head start at being a HC then MF? Not saying MF is free of criticism, but it’s not fair to compare his ability to make halftime adjustments after 3 games, one of which was played 9 months ago.I could write several dozen negative thoughts about this game, but mercifully will stop with just a few.
1. We are SLOW. EVERYWHERE. Lumbering giants vs Cats.
2. The OLine wasn't sharp, but some of the "Echo Comments" here aren't quite accurate. The OLine did block their assignments most of the time, but Patterson was NOT sharp, and Fisher was even less sharp --- I question his conditioning or if that's not it he must have some injury he's carrying. He badly missed at least three blocks resulting in smear destruction of plays. Alt held up and surprisingly so did Correll and Lugg (The last two double-teaming a lot, so helping one another.) I cannot remember any RB picking up a proper blitzer. Bauman whiffed on at least one also. Marshall, apparently for good reason, did not believe that any WR could beat them and so the DBs were coached to Rapidly join the run defense --- on the theory that even if we caught a pass we weren't going anywhere.
3. All that leads into Tommy's inability to figure this out. I think that he cannot believe that any normal DC is willing to completely disregard our WRs as any real threat. So, not believing that they are selling out that quickly to stuff the line of scrimmage, he continues to try to call play sequences which are mentally designed to set up other things. But these DCs aren't fooled. They just keep selling out (regardless of the pre-snap they show) and chuckle as our QB and WRs can't threaten them. The designed run holes therefore get clogged, and when our backs try to cut outside, the rest of the sell-outs are there too. Our lack of speed (and poor WR downfield blocking) insures failure for almost any play. Michael Mayer Beast mode and Tyler Buchner NOT throwing are almost all that is left.
4. Stunningly we're worse in second halves. When Coach Kelly was here, IE blamed that on him. Now that he's gone, IE is NOT blaming the new head coach. I also find this strange.
Missed ya OMM. happy to see you're ok. Brilliant take and spot on.I could write several dozen negative thoughts about this game, but mercifully will stop with just a few.

This is mind boggling to me. I guess the staff just doesn’t trust Tyree…IDKAnd barely use Tyree.
Why Is Notre Dame needing to recruit Lacrosse players????? What a condemnation of Brian Kelly's ability to change and recruit with the times.Tyler Buchner is a great Lacrosse player that also plays Quarterback.
Many of his throws where late or over the receiver. All the hallmarks of being freighted by interceptions by his coaches. And that of course leads to interceptions.
"The more you try to control, the less control you actually have". This kid is way over scripted and coach. Zero gunslinging and intuition. That stated he may not be a great QB anyways. He is a damn fine Lax player though.
He has to be a nice guy so just hire around Ress.Freeman will need to gather the stones to fire Rees soon or he will need to get gone too.
TAMU will pull throughTexas A&M Is about to lose to App St with players we should have recruited from the list

TR is trying to be too cute with his play calling. Always seems like he’s trying to setup the next play except the boring play he calls is hardly executed well so means nothing in the long run. The fact he won’t change is a problem. This is mind boggling to me. I guess the staff just doesn’t trust Tyree…IDK

Yes and the stats are non-stop on most sports tickers right now:This is a historically bad loss.
Again that’s a 5 star RB who did that. More talented than any RB on Notre Dame roster.Yes and the stats are non-stop on most sports tickers right now:
first ND HC to start 0-3
only 3rd top 5 team since 2000 to start 0-2
highest individual rushing perfromance vs ND since 2016
I’m sure more will be added. It’s a great day to be an ND hater.
Why does it help you sleep?Thank God I started following club soccer a few years ago...

Maybe we can pull a USC and go out and get a Lincoln Riley? Oh yeah, this is ND.Yes and the stats are non-stop on most sports tickers right now:
