The biggest takeaway is Freeman still struggles with adjustments. It was that way as d-coordinator and remains the same as head coach. He’s playing checkers, when others are playing chess. Hopefully he’s able to adjust or he don’t last long.

The OL is an absolute joke though for how touted they were. OL and TE were what the team was supposed to rely on. Lugg and Correll both need to sit.

Agreed about OL & TE. Jury is still out on Buchner b/c I was expecting multiple turnovers and he’s at least avoided that. Plus, he had shit field position for the majority of the game b/c of horrible ST play. I was more disappointed w/ giving up on Estime between the tackles after the first quarter.

This outcome was expected lol *someone* stated that ND wouldn't be able to run inside at all and Buchner/WR corp isn't good enough to be athletic defenses. This isn't rocket science.

Buchner will get better and ND won't face athletes like this for a while. This is still a good team, maybe even 11-1. It was just an obviously bad match up against a program with elite talent everywhere.
