Absolutely team reflects the manager, and there is just absolutely no fire. Unfortunately it won't be until next year with TLR leaving the bench.

I don't know about fire, but there's not home runs or getting on base. There's not people picking the ball up and fielding it. There definitely are a lot of people constantly getting hurt which I believe points to a lack of conditioning.

Sounds like there are cliques in the locker room not getting along. So if Tony goes, there are probably some players that need to be rooted out as well for their attitudes.

It's not a good situation.

Last night's 8-4 loss to Cleveland, White Sox hitters accomplished the following:

First inning: 3 outs on 6 pitches
Ninth inning: 3 outs on 7 pitches

Want to guess at who is dead last in the Majors in team walks at 204?

The team OBP is predicated on them being fourth in hits. Dead last in walks percentage as a team at 6.3%.

I mean that they reflect the managers lack of caring, which it seems like has translated to the field as well. They are not well coached its evident. Give me Ricky 10times over this version of LaRussa. What cliques have you read about in locker room, do tell?

Bob Nightendale spilled stuff to 670 The Score yesterday. He broke the LaRussa hire news so he has a source with the team. If he's spilling this on Chicago AM radio, they want it out.

Today went from bad to worse:

Man on second, two outs. Sox pitcher throws a first pitch strike. 0-1 count, Tony puts the runner on first. You can't make it up.

Yesterday, Kenny Williams gave the team a pregame pep talk. They proceeded to lose 8-4.

31 outs today recorded on 3 pitches of less. That's right. They can't wait to make outs.

Scott Podsednik and Ozzie Guillen ripped the team on the post game show on a station that Jerry Reinsdorf owns 50% of. Steve Stone was also very critical during yesterday and today's broadcast despite ripping fans on Twitter for being negative.

Two women have come forward accusing Tim Anderson of having affairs, and one of them is very pregnant claiming it's his. That might explain why the team leader has been totally checked out for over a fortnight.

So Jerry Reinsdorf hires Tony LaRussa because he felt bad for firing him forty years ago. Stands to reason he's not going to fire him now, and Tony sure as shit isn't going to quit as long as he's cashing checks. They have the worst farm system in baseball right now, bottom five at best. The situation is pretty dire and the only reason they're not totally blown up is because they're in a bad division.

It's absolutely awful right now.

Yermin Mercedes of the San Francisco Giants homered off of Dallas Keuchel of the Arizona Diamondbacks last night.

I think this is one piece of the encapsulation of the 2022 Chicago White Sox.

Eloy Jimenez gets hurt, again, jogging to a fly ball. Can't make it up anymore.

Lot of smoke that this is Tony's last week with the team. Not that he is going to be fired, but he won't be back after the break. I will believe it when I see it. A forced "retirement"

Stranger things have happened, but I'm not buying it. I still think they'll wait until the end of the year and put him in the front office. Then they'll do something stupid like hire AJ Pierzynski because it's as White Sox of a move as there is.

The ball is starting to leave the park. Ball go far, team go far.

Fingers crossed. Keep winning games head to head against the division.

Andrew Vaughn raked last week. Pretty hard.

Key to the second half is for Moncada and Grandal to be getting on base and healthy. Only way this team can make a run to the Central. I don't expect much of them after that but once you are in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Lance and Kopech are going to have to at least be average for the Sox to have a legitimate shot.

Lance Lynn's extension is looking like a bad move. He really should consider conditioning himself better.

I don't know what to make of Kopech, but I'm leaning toward "headcase" right now.

Guy from The Score (Riordan) doesn’t think Tony returns to the dugout after the ASB. I would’ve agreed until we just won 5 out of 6.

I think the Sox would be smart to try and add a LH bat to play RF if they can continue to play well leading up to the deadline. Happ is probably available from CHC, and Benintendi probably is also.

Not buying it. He'll be back at least through the end of the season. I hope they make a change this winter, but not if it means AJ Pierzynski, whose main quality seems to be he played for the 2005 White Sox.

They are going to have to go outside of the organization for their needs and I don't know what they have to bargain with seeing as how they have one of if not the worst farm systems in baseball. Happ and Benintendi are on most team's lists. The majority can put together better packages for the Cubs and Royals. They're going to have to be very creative.

I would not mind seeing Jose Quintana back as a starter. He wouldn't require them to give up a lot. Otherwise, I don't know how they can acquire a bat or two with what they have. They are most definitely in "win now" mode and need to make win now moves.

Ya, I think the same about TLR. There was a report somewhere today expect him here now this year and most likely next year too. F that.

My buddy who is pretty in tune with the Cubs, thinks the Sox should absolutely look at making a move for Bote. I don't know if I like it, but interesting take to say the least.

This past weekend series was huge. Momentum somewhat up, but need to get rested and healthy over break for many guys. Vaughn was my #1 young guy when they were talking about him with Manea trade, I didn't want it. I love what he is doing. Also, Engel needs to be playing more in the outfield everyday over Pollock or Leury. His defense alone is plus. Figure a platoon of Grandal, Eloy, Abreu for DH.
Platoon Grandal and Vaughn the days that Abreu DH's at 1B, but keep 25 in the order every day.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with the catching situation when Grandal is back. The staff absolutely trusts Seby catching games, he's the best defensive catcher we have, and his bat has been serviceable. McGuire odd man out? This is grandals last year on contract I think as well. I wish we had the prospects to give up for a sign and trade for Willie Contreras.

If that's the Jon Heyman stuff, don't even sweat that.

I think he will finish out this year. After that, we'll see.

Ya just looked back it was that Troll. I love Ozzie called him out to Box too haha.
Ozzie had a good week last week. He's a good pundit.

I just don't know how the Jerry Tony bromance ends any other way than with one of them dying. I think they're going to ride this out thinking they'll win a World Series, which they will not with their current infrastructure.

I really think he's back next year too but I hope they consider going another direction that is not AJ Pierzynski.

Or anyone who is willing to live in the present and use the information available to them.

Only LaRussa keeps putting Leury Garcia out there every day knowing he sucks. I'm convinced no other manager would play that guy every day. He's a defensive replacement at BEST.

Sox under over on wins is 83.5 at -110. That means they have to go 38-32. Looking at schedule, I like my chances. Looking at #22 on the bench, gives me pause. how do we feel on it.

The coaching staff is an issue. They do more harm than good.

They are not a conditioned team. A lot of guys who are injured often.

Fundamentally bad.

All that said, they're in the right division to be able to sneak into October.

Your manager was dozing off in the first inning of a game in early August and you did nothing at the trade deadline sans trading a backup catcher for a reliever. Rodon and Happ stay put, Quintana to the Cardinals. All could have helped this team push for a winnable AL Central division.

The Chicago White Sox window closed on October 29, 2021 as far as I'm concerned. I see how the Padres behave and wish the White Sox had the same kind of conviction to winning. The idea of being a "small market" franchise isn't a thought in San Diego.

They don't have anyone worth a shit in the minors to trade so that makes it difficult. The young talent is in the majors so you can move some of those guys, i.e., Moncada or Eloy, or improve the team with FA signings this offseason. The move that must be made is to fire TLR and hire someone that can work with the young talent they have on the roster.

  1. Jerry dies
  2. Get rid of Kenny and Hahn. Get new Exec VP who hires new GM
  3. Then hire a new manager.

Just bring up Colas already. Also for the love of God, stop platooning Leury. Let Harrison play daily.
