Was there a point where is wasn’t weird?
Haha fair… but I used to be able to find actually football information/opinions about recruits when I’d click on a player profile……..

Clemson is trying to get him to visit at the end of the month. That would be less than ideal. No one knows when but I would think commitment in July = good, August or after = bad.
Makes sense, I wonder how strong his relationship is with the current commitments. Hopefully they do a little recruiting as well

The two other "missing piece of the puzzle" social media posts I remember were for Braiden McGregor and Jayson Moore, so I don't have super high hopes lol.

(On a side note, I just remembered that McGregor is now being coached by Elston, who he strung along pretty bad. Wonder if that's an issue at all.)

The thing about skunks is that even when they remove their glands and sell em at a pet store they still fucking stink

When we lose kids because of petty religious differences (no idea if it’s the case here or not), it really grinds my gears. I blame shitty world history teachers and uneducated upbringings. There are millions of dumb folk, not exclusive to the south, that do not realize that Catholics are Christian’s. Trying to explain to them that it’s the original apostolic church or build historical context regarding the dates the popular Protestant churches were invented relative to the date Christ lived (thousand + years later) is like trying to teach Calc to a room of sped students. The Catholic Church doesn’t do itself favors in that regard by exclusively referring to itself as “Catholic” instead of Christian. It’s sheer size makes it appear as separate from rather than 100% Christian. Its essentially the mother ship to all others, but that’s not known or appreciated by many. It’s history and traditions make it seem weird and not up to date on fashion trends. To me, that screams credibility, but to many, it’s not hip enough. You don’t get much more Christian than making a dying bloody Jesus the focal point of every church. But, I’m guessing the south is full of adults that were similar to the middle school friend that told me his dad said my family worships Marry. In NDs case, you can’t plaster Christian much harder than touchdown Jesus.

Right, but there are themes in the Gospels that come straight from Jesus that teach us to be wary of religious authorities and institutions that seem caught up with worldly matters and their own ambitions and don’t Prioritize God above all else.

I agree that it was based on misunderstanding and other problems, but the history of Protestantism can be seen as giant critique of the Catholic Church for getting off-track. Protestantism sees itself as getting back to the core of the message.

All well and good. And with some recruits from some backgrounds I agree with you. But in this case we're talking about a red-headed kid with an Irish name who lives in Boston and appears to value both faith and education. I really doubt that he and his family are ignorant about the tenents of Catholicism.

I’m sure it has everything to do with religion and nothing to do with all those smoke show southern belles down there in South Carolina.

ND women are underrated. ND is loaded with rich girls from all over the country, particularly from Cali. Maybe not as many per capita hotties as Arizona State, but for 6’4 athletes, I don’t foresee issues being popular with ladies. The pool of good looking male competition at ND is far lower too. I’ve always found hot smart girls more attractive than 2.5 gpa drunk all the time Brittany’s from random state U, but to each their own. I personally find smart, beautiful, independent, rich women attractive. ND has a plethora.

That girl with the booster club that Rudy got to wave at Debot was pretty hot.

I'm against ND moving to the SEC because it would mean more recruiting battles where the thread devolves into this conversation. Many of us (myself included) are guilty of it but gosh it's not what we come to IE for lol.

Going to be pretty disappointed if we miss here. A kid with this profile is ND's bread and butter. An irish kid from a super high academic school in the northeast shouldnt end up at Clemson.

I wonder if Chansy Stuckey being at ND bc Clemson doesn't want him is something that has been fed to him.
