If he wants to play, and he's still better than one of the other two Tackles, put him in. He's not going to burn a redshirt at this point, and if he's 100% there's little chance he's going to reinjure. He's going to be a cornerstone of that line for the next few years, he shouldn't miss out on a big bowl if he's healthy and wants to play. Split reps, whatever. Let Big Fish eat.

Its really a pretty easy decision. Alt has done incredibly and going to be a mainstay for years to come. Fish is different. He could help make the left side of the line dominant overnight. If he's 100% play the man.

MFMF sounded like he was excited for the prospect to do just that during the presser.

You have no possible way to make that assessment. If hes 100% he is objectively the best lineman on the roster.

If he's any less than 100%, you're right and the risk/reward would make it a silly decision to play him.

Blake’s HS conference, The Hoosier Crossroads, is about to be the state’s best adding Center Grove and Carmel soon. Center Grove football finished 8 nationally this year and Carmel is typically top 5 in the state.

Down goes football’s mighty MIC. There’s always hoops to fall back on though.

Blake only played a handful of snaps, so I'm not sure how we know he's the best lineman on the roster at the moment. He's certainly projected to be, but we don't know for sure. If he's cleared to play, I would guess it will be a limited number of snaps to get him acclimated.

In football, overall top to bottom the Hoosier Crossroads had surpassed the MIC IMO. This just solidifies it. Reading between the lines, the other schools don't have the money to stay in the arms race and continue to spend like Carmel and CG do.

He's just a monster when you watch some of his film from HS and camp. Even if he's eased back in during the bowl with limited reps it would be cool to see him manhandle the Cowboys DL.

Starting the bowl game. Lugg out due to surgery.

Okie State has a nasty pass rush, so it's a tough time to be thrown back into the lineup.

two freshman tackles and one hasn't played since the opening game not great for an OL that has struggled all year long. MF is going to be tested very early in his HC career.

It’ll be interesting to see what Harry (presumably) does at the tackle spots for next season. Does Alt remain at LT and Fish at RT or does Big Fish revert back to the left side? I’m interested to see how both of them do on the first.

First world problems right there. I hope Rocco is able to work his way into starting lineup as well. Should be a rock solid line next year.

potentially could only be filling the RG spot if Patterson decides to return.

Forsure, I think most of us are on the same page. Not the OL thread but many including myself have posted about this very topic. Alt and Fish will be the bookends at what side, does it really matter? Embarrassment of riches. I am of the opinion that it all hinges on JP. If he comes back, well C is on lock down and Kristofic/Carmody/Rocco will battle it out. If JP heads for the NFL, I would like to see Kristofic or Carmody move to the middle. Carmody has been praised for his athleticism and footwork (basketball guy), so that may bode well for center. Keep ALT/Kristofic together for that chemistry and Fish/Rocco destroying folk on the other side. L or R, I don't care, I just want them to be mean/bully's. I want the USCs of the world to quite, not just in the game, quite football all together after we put a beating on them.

I get why he's there for the bowl game, but I'm not sure afterward. Blake is so big is takes a DE six minutes to get around him and protecting the back side is still priority 1.
