What is record breaking about it?
Inflation in October rose at the highest rate in 30 years.

So not RECORD BREAKING, just the highest in an arbitrary time period?

This is a weird hill to die on but it appears to be correct.
No that is not "Fair: to me, though I respectfully stipulate, ulukinatme, that it may be to you. Let us agree to disagree disagreeably. To be fair that's probably the highest inflation in most poster's lifetimes here, or at least the highest that any can remember.

For a guy who's 36, October inflation is the highest I've seen in my lifetime. So we'll call it record breaking over the past 3 decades, which I would say is significant.

In the household I grew up in there was no air between "FACTS" and "Fairness." the whole family were kids of immigrants, neither of my parents graduated from high school, and of the dozen plus aunts and uncles and inlaws only ONE had graduated from high school.
But meals were delicious and fun. But if you opened your mouth and pretended to be knowledgeable about something you had to be correct, or, literally, get your ass handed to you.
But of the 14 cousins, there was neither a
narcisssist
nor a
snowflake
among them
FACTS Matter
Knowledge Matters
and tender little snowflaky egos suck hind tit.
Nobody likes movable goalposts more than me! Shoutouts to all our 40 plus posters with different records, you the real ones!
So what are you suggesting we do? Only compare current inflation to all inflation stats since they started keeping records? If so, it's still one of the largest numbers. A gunshot wound to the leg isn't as bad as one to the gut, but I wouldn't want either.

Actually use facts instead of demeaning other posters while claiming you are the bearer of truth?
<insert pointless analogy>

The latest Consumer Price Index for October recorded a 6.2 percent increase, year over year, according to data released Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It's the largest increase in over 30 years and far outpaced economists' expectations of a 5.9 percent spike.
So you think he just made up the statement that inflation is the highest reported in 30 years?
A quick google search showed this from NBC News
I have always been fascinated with your posts. I typically read them in the voice of an old angry hobbit.
Natives fought with each other long before Wypepo Tribe came to the Americas. What did they fight over? They fought for food, they fought for territory, during drought they fought over fresh water and they even killed each other for sport or conquest. Some Native Tribes were very ambitious and wanted. You say "Color was Everything" and lets being it in today's context. You seem to be okay with people fighting over food, territory and resources but as long as those people are of the same color. Lets take the inner cities today. Lets talk about black on black crime that most politicians and regular folk just turn a blind eye to... are we just okay with the inner cities killing each other just like we really do not care about the savage acts of Natives killing each other sometimes for sport at times? They raped and pillaged other tribes, sometimes decimating the entire tribe and raping their women and enslaving some. The Navajo along with their Apache allies were known to go after the Pueblo Indians in the name resource gathering and preservation. Turns out that the Natives were not so much different than the Wypepo Tribe... except the technology was vastly different. Without sugar coating it the Wypepo tribe came with guns and artillery and took what they wanted. You can assume with all the pillaging the conflicts that went on before the pale skinned Wypepo Tribe that this artillery would have been used in conflict if that technology was available to them... this is proven by the fact that these Natives used these weapons when the Wypepo gave them guns and other artillery to use against other tribes. Sadly in the end the Wypepo were just too strong of a force and (right, wrong, or indifferent) took what they wanted... which is now America. Lets say the Wypepo Tribe gave one tribe guns and artillery and just left. Lets pretend they gave all of their technology to the Navajo. Its safe to assume the Navajo would have obliterated their competition in similar fashion. Would that have been okay? Would people see this as the same as they see Black on Black crime in America's inner cities? I assume so. But that's not how it happened. The Wypepo took over. The Wypepo did some awful horrible things. Lets also talk about land rights. If I step on a piece of dirt and I am the first person to step on that dirt is all the dirt that is connected to that dirt my dirt? Do I have to call scoobs on that dirt if I were to walk miles away and settle in another area? And then call scoobs when they go somewhere else? If I am settled in an area and then people of the same color come and kill my people is it now their land? If I am settled in an area and then people of a different color come and kill my people is that seen differently? Do you only "owe" something to someone if you are different color? Are we an awful civilization because Wypepo did what everyone else was doing? Or are we just awful for being Wypepo?
This, and it was one of MANY thoughtful and intentional steps to spread out power/authority (i.e. the Separation of Powers). This is the beauty of the Constitution and why Globalism, which is all about the centralization of power, sucks and leads to human suffering.
That isn't what he said, he said it was RECORD BREAKING. His emphasis, not mine, which a quick google search will quickly show is an outright falsehood. Report back soon!
Record breaking for my lifetime. Is that better for you? Doesn't change the reality we're all living.

HUGE surprise to see solidarity against facts down here, all the usual suspects checking in like clockwork lol![]()

Nobody's against facts. It's already been agreed upon by all in the conversation that "record breaking" was technically inaccurate, but not anyone here, including you, interpreted it differently than what he meant: the highest rate of inflation seen in decades. Your beating of a dead horse and trying to make this small inaccuracy the point of the conversation is an attempt to avoid the real issue: Biden's ineptness and poor economic policies that have led to the highest inflation in more than 30 years. Enough with the deflection. Try addressing the actual topic being discussed.
I pointed out that October saw the highest rise of inflation in decades. You're acting like I said the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor and ND beat Alabama last year. But hey, go ahead and chalk it up as a win for you. Most of us are rolling our eyes at the hair splitting.
Nobody is against facts yet you are now what the fifth poster who has felt the need to weigh in? It wasn't technically inaccurate, it was wildly and blatantly false in a post where the poster was bragging about how they were the one arguing facts. And I'm beating the dead horse? This is high comedy.
In a reasonable world Polish would have simply replied with "You know what, I got carried away with my lib pwning and drastically misstated the current level of inflation in my fact finding overzealousness. My bad"
But in OUR world not only did that not happen but we have to dig in and form a goon squad because heaven forbid one of our tribe be exposed as wrong. Again, high comedy.
At least you didn't give us another one of your homespun yarns of yore from Pleasantville to drive home your non point this time, thanks for clearly giving us just your opinion about the causes of inflation at the moment with all the value that entails.
