Strength of Schedule is taking a beating this weekend.
Stanford lost to Az St last night 28-10. Had to look twice on the SU sidelines to see if it wasn't Mike Leach there. They ran 13 times for 20 yds and passed 45 times for 356. Crazy stat: 10 of the eleven Cardinal drives passed midfield. Scored 10 points!
McKie is their QB and he's OK, not really good but pretty accurate on the medium range stuff. They're good at TE up the seam (Yurosek) and jump ball to their physical WR's (Higgins is the best). Defense is atypical Pac 12 outfit. Not a lot of press coverage or blitzing except in the red zone. Thoma Booker is a load to handle but they have him at DT.
Only a badly damaged ND team will go out there and lose.
When will we see an announcement for kickoff?
Sure would be nice to get an afternoon start. Seems like every Stanford game is prime time since they’re on the west coast.
Pretty sure it was an afternoon game back in 2019.

with stanford down this year im guessing it'll be an afternoon game like it was in 2019. just hope the field is in better condition then it was back in 2019.
Pretty sure ESPN/ABC always has a 6 days or so to announce the kick; UVA was announced just after the Navy game. I suspect we'll hear an official time this Saturday.
Does ESPN have the game?

Gimme Gus!!!!!
Not sure, but it's been on fox the past few years I think?
Not necessarily. This game has been played at night almost every time since I've been watching, even when one of the teams is mediocre or terrible. I think 2007 and 2019 were the only times this game was in the afternoon since I've been watching.
2001 and 2009, we were bad, and they were still night games.
2003 and 2005, Stanford was bad, and they were still night games.
I'm gonna say our game will be a night game this time around, the way the schedule looks to be shaping up. A lot of the noon slots are taken up already, and there's a good chunk of east coast games on that Saturday too, which lends me to believe they're gonna want to push back the ND game so they can reap the west coast audience and the large national fanbase that ND has.
