If you didn’t buy the post bye week freshman stock before kickoff you’re too late. Really noticeable he wasn’t just in there on gadget snaps

I’m sure BK knew a few recruits might have been on campus too

I said this to my buddy during the game. Noticeable uptick in meaningful reps tonight (and targets/receptions) for both Lo and Colzie.

Hoping this spring boards him into a solid last month of the regular season

Excited to see his development. I’m glad they’re putting more and more on his plate.

I liked that fast screen we threw to him. With Coan on the field I think that needs to be a bigger part of the offense as a read since he provides no threat running the ball

I’ve been begging for this all season! So many times that a WR screen made sense

He looks faster than the noted speedsters. Wish he caught that deep ball.

Coan under threw, but it should have been caught.

When I saw it for the first time live I thought he pushed the ball away. For the most part our guys just don’t like the ball being thrown to them more than 30 yards down the field lol

Three years of starting Ian Book gets you that.

I know it wasn't a very good throw, but it still needs to be caught.

But Notre Dame has something here. I've been very impressed with the freshmen on offense so far.

Just to recite the litany (after all, tomorrow is ALL SAINTS DAY) the following freshman have played when it has meant something

Mitchell Evans
Cane Berrong
Lorenzo Styles
Deon Colzie
Blake Fisher
Joe Alt
Tyler Buchner
Logan Diggs

8, or you can call them what called the '77 UNLV Runnin' Rebels,
the
HARDWAY 8

The future seems bright

The last two games I have seen Estime in on Goal Line Offense.

Now we just need to see Prince Kollie and a freshman DB emerge before the end of the year. This has to be one of the biggest contributing freshman classes of Kelly's tenure.

I'm glad the freshmen are stepping up, but so many of them shouldn't be beating out upperclassmen. There's a leadership void, a lack of development, or something.

It could be lack of development or the players just no doing enough. Look at Lenzy had world class speed before coming to ND. He is fast but not as advertised. His injuries have had some impact but he when he was recruited he needed to be developed and that has never come.

Kid has speed, definitely not world class speed though. If I remember correctly, the 400 was his best event.
