Is this the one that was compared to DJ by his coach?

Offer today. No more stumbling around.

I also just don't think this happens if the staff believes that this coming spring/summer they will be able to have kids on campus to see live. Quarterback is always a position that they want to see in person. They also place a lot of weight in intangibles which they get a better sense for when they meet a kid in person.

Of course they won't offer.

They'll continue to recruit like it's 1995.

I take it they are only ranking 2023 QBs if they are a Manning.

West Coast offers are probably coming. Hit the ET and CT first

No gotta offer Arch Manning who we have about as good a shot at getting as we did Ty Simpson when we offered him.

What does it hurt? The offer is made. Tommy/BK probably called him for 5 mins and we’re done. Arch got his offer when Nico was sleeping still

I say take a swing. What the hell differrence does it make?

you swing and miss and then you go after your 2nd tier guys and they know straight away they are the back up plan. Other schools then can negatively recruit you on that.

It's a business, Peter Pan. Count Chocula.

Tale as old as time. Guys are going to get offers now, guys are going to get offers in the summer, fall, etc. Get your offers out to your first choices and see where the chips fall. Can't worry about hurt feelings. It's a process.

Might cross this name off the list unless plans change. He talked to Biggins at 247 and has some June plans and ND wasn’t on there

Yea, and those programs are Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia and Alabama. Let’s not kid ourselves here. Rees and ND are not competing for a top 100 QB, with no offer, against those guys. That’s why the offer is so important.

We need to beat these guys to the punch in these recruitments. Not wait until after the elite programs get their hooks in.

Tom made to sound like there was a reason we weren’t recruiting him. Again idk why every QB update needs to be viewed from the exact same lense (Rees is late) when there are a myriad of factors and possibly roads to go down that are usually explored with any new info we are presented with

Well, of Rees’s last 7 offers spanning 2 classes, 5 could have been considered late. Bare minimum of last 3 of 5. No need to bury our head in the sand on this. It’s the most important position on the team. Let’s get in the damn game.

But I also don’t believe everything is about Rees being late. Getting 1 of 13-15 visits from Arch is fun to talk about but that’s it. Our best position being #2 for Moore is not a positive. We have no leverage and minimal progress with June visitors.

Rees seems in over his head when it comes to QB recruiting. That's what happens when you have an OC with no prior experience. ND shouldn't be a place where you're learning on the job. Joe Moorhead would've been the better hire, but Kelly had to have one of ''his guys''.

And those are fair points in some QB recruiting discussion. Just don’t seem to be here. There are tangible updates here that frankly, don’t sound to have any relation to a slow trigger by Rees, yet we’ve let that frame our discussion yet again. Just feels like starting every convo with Del. Relevant sometimes, clouding in others

How’s it not relevant to Nico. If Nico had an offer is there a better or worse chance of him visiting? If Nico visits is there a better or worse chance he takes ND seriously? It wouldn’t be the first time a young man changed his routine so he could go to ND.

We need to get in the game with the top QB’s. Offers don’t force us into decisions but get us in the game. Offers incentivize some of these guys to get on campus. As they get on campus we can progress our board and prioritize from there. Or at the very least use it as leverage over other offers.
