Didn't quite work in recent past for FSU & Miami, both of which have ranked high in recruiting rankings from 2004-2006. Now granted they were not loaded with 5*, but then again other than USC, who really was? And, as noted by ACamp, USC may have been in the picture for several NC's in the past few years, but they have only WON 1.

OSU have also been in the picture several times and have won 1 NC in the past several years, but they haven't been loading-up with 5* guys

LSU have also been in the picture many times the last several years, and they haven't been overloaded with 5* guys.

usc won 2 nc's a almost won a third straight (2003 title shared) i know in a couple of years we will on a level playing field with usc- talent wise or should i say talent weis!

I remember 1; when they beat-down OU in the 2005 Orange Bowl.

Other than that, the only thing I remember is that they DID NOT PLAY in the 2004 NC game (LSU-OU) and the loss to Texas that you refer to. Where can I find their other recent NC?? Must be in with LSU's 2005, Auburn's 2006, Michigan's 2007, etc.......

I think Notre Dame HS is on T.V. vs. Canyon at 1 o'clock this afternoon on the FSPAC channel. Chanell 264 if you have comcast.

I think he definately ends up a five star player. One thing I never really noticed before was his size, damn he is a big boy!

From what I've gathered from the little that's out there, Crist seems to be the second most impressive QB at the camp behind Blaine Gabbert.

Unfortunately that's true. I was hoping Gabbert would tank it but it appears that the opposite is happening. Crist is still having a good showing.

Well #2 QB at the Elite 11 is nothing to be ashamed of, especially when the Irish are stocking QB's.

Actually I heard he was third behind Gabbert and Manuel. But his arm was also tired from all the seven on seven tournaments.

----Thats funny everybody outside of Rivals people are saying it's Gabbert and Crist. They are just pumping off Manuel some more. I listened to Power Hour this morning and had a Rivals guy on there say it was Dayne and Gabbert and Manuel was like 3.

I too have heard Dayne and Gabbert are competing for the top spot, with Manuel being the most giftted but still with some question marks.

The guy on power hour never said Crist was second he said he was in his top 2 and 3 at times meaning Manuel could of been that 2 at times.

I was a little disapointed to hear Rivals say that he might get 5 star status after his senior season. Better late than never but he should get it next week.

I really don't know a thing about Sharpley's, DD's or Clausen's future with the Irish, but Know this much.......Dayne Crist looks every bit as good in nearly every category as any of them!! And I mean NOW. The only nod I would concede is that DD has more game-breaking abilities with his feet than Crist.

-----Dayne is VERY good, but watch Jimmys highlights from a 7 on 7 tournament before his Sr. year and come tell me someone is better than Jimmy....

..........I tried to link it but for some reason non of the AMP videos from our 07 commits are "available" anymore. Did they really delete them?

----Lol Congradulations HCTI you've managed to ask 3 different questions in 2 sentences. :clap: But AMP are those Rivals videos that play "Dan McCarthy commits to the Irish" and shows his highlights with some guy talking about how big his committment was. If you click on "Video's" on the recruits screen and look down to AMP videos you'll see a bunch of those types, especially with Jimmy. But they don't see to work anymore, which is really annoying.

LOL...I think my 5 year old and 3 year old are starting to wear off on me. All they do all damn day long is ask questions. Sorry, should have guessed they were the Rivals vids because you've brought this up before. :)

We'll never know for sure until Crist arrives. But note that I said ".....as good....." The kicker is that I specifically refer to right NOW, and Crist is still in high school.

I'm not demeaning any of the other QBs, but I am emphasizing this Dwayne kid's abilities while still in H.S.

Also, I'm simply cautious regarding guys that are hyped excessively before they even take the field in college. I would, however, love to see ANY of these guys excel to the degree of, say, one of the recent USC QBs, or some similar successes. Too bad Brady Quinn did not have an OL to allow him to perform to his max capabilities. He darn near was killed in at least two or three games last season alone.

Wait, whaa?? (His name's DAYNE by the way.) You're saying that Dayne is as good right now, as a Junior in high school, as Sharpley a Junior in college, DD a sophomore in college, and Jimmy Clausen?? (Said to be the best QB in years) For not liking guys hyped excessively you sure are hyping Dayne up pretty good. He's basically a five star player. Is that not hype?
