He's basically dead to me but the one thing I'll pay attention to him about is anything saying he's NOT going to SC. Tejas is on my list of dislike now too becuz of NaNa but I'd be ok if Jake Smith disappeared to Austin and stayed out of SC/Stanford/OSU

That said, EJ Holland CB'd him to UT.

Not a 5 star they say. In the last two weeks I've seen QB commits from OU, SC and OSU plus an OSU RB commit and none of them including Rattler could carry Smith's jock to the laundry room.

This is what gives the services a bad rap. 247 has him at #176... Bwahahaha

That burst is incredible. I hope he reconsiders his decision.

Hopefully Texas implodes and we maintain contact. But I'd rather him be at Texas than USC

Finally got out to see ND Prep last night and Jake Smith had 5 first half TD's including a slick one handed, back shoulder grab. 24 TD's through 6 games and he doesn't get many touches. I was told in the two games prior he had 5 TD's on just 13 touches. His team is blowing out everyone so that's part of the problem.

Talked to a guy close to the program and he said word is Smith isn't a lock any longer to UT. I really hope ND didn't stop recruiting him. All things considered, he's the best HS football player I've ever seen. He won't catch DJ Foster's 59 TD's in a season but he's more dynamic per touch. Christian Kirk was a beast but Smith matched his best season last year on far less carries/targets.
