Read this from a guy over at DD...

I think this post will start heating up before the end of the Weekend. TOS poster just wrote that he met Filer's Dad. "I just met Steve Filer's dad on campus. I was walking past the Gug about an hour ago and saw Steve's dad get off a golf cart w/ Ianello and CB. He exchanged hugs w/ each of them and Ianello said something to the effect of, "I hope to get more love shortly". As Mr. Filer was walking toward his car I introduced myself and asked how things went. With a big smile on his face he said, "things are looking good". Evidently Steve was still on campus and it seemed like Mr. Filer was headed back to Chicago. He seemed like a real good guy. Hopefully there will be something official this wknd!"

IK, that is awesome news. I have been enamored with Steve Filer ever since he got one of our first schollies last Sep. I have been very high on him from the start, and since I feel that it's important to start getting every blue chip from the city of Chicago, he would be a huge get for us in terms of cementing our place back in Chi-town. I know we've had some success there the last few years, but missing out on Tez last year, I felt, really hurt us in terms of establishing Chicago as a hotbed for us. JMO.

Seems like Mr.Filer had a good day let's see if Steve jumps on the Weis Train to ND let's hopefully get a commitment from him this weekend. Maybe tomorrow we hope.

I am hearing the visit is going really well and he is staying in south bend overnight, I am also thinking we should hear something tomarrow

Good to hear that Filer is having a good visit. I'm glad he didn't get Zooked. Chicago will soon become Notre Dame territory. I wonder how a certain recruit from last year who chose Illinios feels about the success Nore Dame's "up tight white coach" is having this year.
