That show you that all programs do this. Everyone is still fair game.

I heard that as well... Kam bolting would be a disaster... Tratt was bad but couple that WITH Kam and and it wouldn't look good nationally and Kam is just as high potential as Tratt... can't start losing players on BOTH sides...

great.....thats all we need is a big and fast WR to be stolen this late in the game. Losing him would drop our class from a A to B.

actually I'm being optimistic, I don't think we'll lose him, just pointing out how bad it would be... and I was one of the few who never lost it during the Tratt to UF thing

It seems like the RU message boards are burning up the wires on this one, but most of the discussion is premium content. But this from an administrator in a public thread:

Yesterday, it became known that RU staff was seen at the basketball game of Duval Kamara. The question is whether RU is now actively involved in the recruitment of the AA Notre Dame commitment. Only time will tell ... at this point, it is food for thought, whether ND will lose their 2nd AA commit in a 2 week span.

And then from another admin:

... there are obviously further developments, which WILL remain on the Premium board.

Oh, the mystery.

Jeff S. was a three star guy and under CW he was suppose to be second best wideout in the nation, and a first round pick ahead of a five star guy from USC and another guy from LSU. Why would you go somewhere else when CW can do this with a three star guy what will he do with a five. Don't forget about that QB named Quinn, CW make guys the NFL loves and hopefully so will CB.

I can't believe that February 7th is going to be as nerve-wracking as Sept. 1 in Notre Dame Stadium.

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I am new to the recruiting scene, but isn't it exciting that we are attracting the type of players under Charlie that other top-flight programs are hungry for? In a couple of years (or less), we won't even need to worry about decommitments, so I still see this as exciting times for ND football. When else has there been this much activity surrounding one of our recruting classes?

By the way, will the evil empire or any other major sports network be dedicating significant amounts of time/programs to NSD? Thanks all!

I think ESPN has a program that they run throughout the day covering NSD, and last year they had a highlight (sp) show for the recruits.

so glad we're all such optimists around here! buck up lil' campers!

We're all gunshy after Trattou decommitting. It's seems as soon as he changed his commitment, all the D-1 coaches called open season on ND recruits. Not to say that doesn't happen during the entire recruiting process by all coaches...just my outside perspective. Now the rumors are leaking out about Kamara & Harrison Smith reevaluating their verbals. Who's next? In the meantime, the likelihood of any new commitments to ND seem slim & none. I've been waiting for Weis to pull some rabbits out of his hat & it just gets worse. It didn't help that the load over at ESPN, Ivan Maisel, quoted Weis as hinting that he has some players coming in that no one expected them to get & we fans are left hanging...wondering who it is. Turns out he was full of crap or misinterpreted what Weis said...or both.

I'm sorry, but this is just false. We have a 2/3-star kicker (B. Walker) and a 3/4-star LB (B. Smith) both of whom, by most accounts, are almost definitely ND-bound.

It's fine to worry, and fine to complain, but let's at least get the facts straight, 'kay? ;)

Yeah, ESPNU will be running a recruiting show almost all day on Feb. 7th.

After the Army All-American Rejection Fest and Trattou going over the side, the college coaches would be silly not to test the ND waters to see if it's a total collapse.

Guys, why waste our time discussing these things. Until signing day everyone is fair game. Charlie has said from day one it takes a special person to be at ND. The kids who love ND will go to ND. Charlie is an offensive coach who can get you to the next level and kids love that. I feel DK will come to ND in the end.
