Visiting ND as part of the obligatory circuit so he can later say he thought about it (for a minute)?

If we've only got 60 seconds, we better get with the staff and work on their elevator pitch.

Anybody know if he's in the for the II?

Kid is absolutely balling out right now and I have seen many mods drooling over him

Brought over from the 2017 Master thread:

Not sure what your first paragraph is getting at. Echols is a DE and not linked to Young or any other WR. His teamate Calvin and Echols have been linked at times but I wasn't under the impression they were set on playing together.

Ideal finish for me:

Sarell
OSB
Young
Holloman
Echols
Paschal
Graham
Ahmed
Wade

Holloman's still a thing? I don't see it. May as well put DPJ or Joseph Lewis there.

If there were no packages on the table your list would be better than the Christmas of '75 when I got 6 GI Joe's.

But... there are packages. Black's coming as long as Holmes doesn't decommit.

Getting Echols might require giving Calvin the spot, regardless or Young's decision and/or giving his QB the PWO that I'm pretty sure is in the works.

I'm not giving up on Wills, still think he's ND's best shot among the 3 heavies still on the board.

I'm going to take a safety if one of Bolden, Hunter or JKP wants in.

Lastly I stay on Kaindoh as long as he's answering the phone.

Maybe one of the most positive takeaways from the Opening is how much of a shot we have here. Also, how darn good this kid is. I'd love to have him. He even looks like Javon McKinley, you should be all in, lol.

OK. I've followed it and I don't see the conditions favoring ND from his side. I'm not saying he won't look. Georgia is having a historic haul and will have Eason and Fromm in back to back years BUT their WR recruiting is pedestrian in comparison.

They will end up with Mark Webb, Holloman, Blount and Matt Landers. Blount and Landers are already on board.

Now, do I want him? Of course. 4.4_ / 40 and a 135 Sparq puts me on your PR team. I just think they are too far along the process with other players. If they can ditch Black and not damage the CJH relationship, I'm down. If they wanna let OSB go to Stanford and ESB and ASB are good with it, I'm on board. I can only speculate on relationships from nuggets I read and understanding human nature.

In a vacuum, I want Holloman over both Black and OSB. There's just many other variables to weigh in.

And yes, his Opening mugshot is freaky close to JMc's. I've almost mentioned it 10 times. lol

Holloman is very much a thing and the staff prefers him to Tarik Black.

Well as I stated above, in a vacuum I agree. Can you elaborate on the staff liking him more? That sounds juicy.

Yes Georgia is having a really good recruiting year so far due to a loaded SR. class in Georgia HS football but historic is a little over the top. Bama and LSU at the end of the process may be rated higher. You mention they have Eason and Fromm but we don't exactly have chopped liver. Kizer should be a Heisman contender in 2017 season and he will be followed by Wimbush who I like a lot better than Fromm.

was super pissed when he de-committed from Michigan. He's going to be big-time. Terrific athlete in a 6'3, 190+ pound frame. Believe he ran one of the 15 fastest times at The Opening, think it was a 4.47. He's big and fast.

When D'Andre Swift, Cam Akers, Tony Gray, Nate McBride, Leonard Warner, Markaviest Bryant, Malik Herring and Tray Bishop join the current class along with the DB's they chose out of: Deangelo Gibbs, Jaymest Williams, AJ Terrell, Jacoby Stevens and/or Xavier McKinney, you call it what you want. I'll use historic and won't blink.

In regards to comparing QB's and how it relates to Holloman... He'll have excellent QB's his age, Eason, Fromm and the #1 overall player in the country in '18 - Trevor Lawrence. Add to that, ND will have better receiver and he'll will have an easier time getting snaps.

And by the time he would get to ND, Wimbush will be the only one QB left.

he's made a huge jump in the new 247 rankings. He's now the #69 player overall in the country and the #11 WR. Had a hell of a performance at The Opening.

You conveniently leave out Phil Jurkovec in our 18 class. And Lawrence is far from a UGA lock. Clemson and UT will have much to say about that.

I left out PJ because I was responding to DK and Wimbush in '17.

You're right, Lawrence isn't a lock to UGa, he's a LOOOOOOOOCK to UGa.

Really like this kid from his interviews. Could commit at anytime. ND has been there the whole time for him. Looking at WR receptions and a family feel per Scout.

Personally, I would like him over Tarik Black

In. A. Heartbeat.

The list is short on who I'd rather take. DPJ's #1. After that if I drew Holloman out of a hat and the other four in the hat were Lewis, Grimes, Higgins & Jones, I'd have no remorse.

Wouldn't it be something to get Holloman and Martin after all the OSB/Black guaranteed talk that went on for so long? It would also be pretty nice to have the Opening's #1 and #2 Sparq testers* at WR on your commit list.

*DPJ didn't participate.

You know me, H Jones is my number 1 WR.

Been hoping Mark Webb would pull the trigger and join his boy D'Andre Swift in Athens.

Webb's a little higher rated and the same general size. Add Troy Blount, also same size and the big Landers kid out of Florida and that might make him want to strongly consider ND where he comes in as the star WR recruit. Who knows?

And I have a PA question for you Panda... I have a hard time understanding why ND was never a player on Mark Webb. Well spoken, Catholic school kid, good size and film, looks and sounds like an ND kinda guy. Did you ever hear anything? He was one of the very first '17 profiles I built and I kept an eye out for any associated news about recruiting but nothing ever surfaced. Thought maybe you heard something since that's your neck of the woods.
